21·2 months agoSorry if I phrased it weirdly, I didn’t mean to imply that threats had been made (which I mean, dessalines is smarter than that, because like you said it would blow the Lemmy-verse up if he actually made a threat), but rather it’s a fear that’s out there.
But like I said, I have confirmation of that fear in a DM from a major instance admin. Whether or not that fear is founded and justified or not, is up for debate. But it exists and it’s a factor in the decision making process
I don’t really consider infosec.pub to be a “major” instance, it’s only at ~300 MAUs iirc, by “major” I’m thinking .world or SJW or blahaj
In any case, I’m almost positive I’ve seen it mentioned publicly in one of those big threads, maybe the donation ones a few months back. It was also told to me point blank by an admin of one of said major instances in a DM, but I am unsure how or even if I can release that considering it was told to me in private
Well the PF instances don’t really have an excuse, though iirc the flagship PF does defed (or maybe it was a default block?) from the entire Triad
But it has come up that some major instances have a big concern in that if they defed from .ml dessalines will pull back support from them in retaliation
Which is always a fantastic healthy green flag of a relationship/s

The actual cell service performance is quite subjective and varies wildly between the 3 major carriers. Your area TMO probably really does suck, but in my area it’s far better than ATT and Verizon especially when it comes to 5G

Honestly, I had no idea that they were only open for a day, I just peruse Lemmyverse.net and pick instances that seem interesting or have funny/cool sounding names 😂
“Uyghur atrocity propaganda equate birth control with genocide.” Is his literal words for the first one, some are memes and you almost have to interpret into a quote. How do you directly quote a meme?

Nutomic is like the second in command and word around the cooler is hes the one that does the bulk of the coding work. They definitely have shared values, with the exception of his transphobia.
He doesn’t do a whole lot as far as admining .ml goes so isn’t featured as much or ever actually now that I think about it

If you’ve been site banned from .ml, then .ml users will not be able to see you. There is also a way to site-ban a user in a way that they also won’t be able to see your content prior to the ban issuance as well. Called a siteban with purge
