12·1 month agoApologies, when I was making the post, it refused to upload the jpeg screenshot. So I went over to Twitter, grabbed the post, and also took another screenshot which should hopefully be fixed in the actual post.
My bad.
I just started back in November. It’s easily become one of if not my all-time favorite game to play. It’s absolutely solid and I forget it’s still in early access.
Highly recommend Vintage Story to those who love the survival aspect of Minecraft. In my opinion, it also offers a lot more creative freedom but you really have to work for it.

Low-Spec Gaming@lemmy.zip•ARM Rockchip RK3588 running Steam and CrysisEnglish
2·2 months agoI’m planning on getting a laptop with this chip. This is rock solid news and I am excited for the future of arm computing.
That’s how I would describe CNN.
I haven’t watched to much this week, but the issues with Charlie Kirk have extended to every news platform. Earlier this year, they were pretty good about their reporting on Palestine which leads me to believe this is an issue with that particular host.

2·5 months agoWell, I am convinced. Thanks for explaining the difference. I usually use the app for navigation and then add spots that I see are missing when I get home on the website.

The Elder Scrolls@lemmy.zip•A question for the ages: Is The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall a good game?
3·6 months agoDaggerfall Unity is a great game, with all the quality of life changes that it made.
The original is now so flawed and easy to hardlock your way out of playing I could not recommend it to any player except enthusiast who want to experience the “original.”

You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK that apart from not having a car and voting, the single greatest thing you can do for the climate is simply eating less red meat.
1·7 months agoI will look for that when I’m looking for shredded cheese, next time.

71·7 months agoCoffee is a big one for me along with cheese. I’m waiting for cheese to get better with vegan alternatives, the last time I tried shredded vegan cheese it melted and tasted like plastic, although that was 3 years ago now, and I am willing to try again.
Coffee is something I think can be helped if people were more picky on what brands they chose from. I do not believe Starbucks is the most sustainable coffee brand, as they trained me when I worked there to believe.

Enshittification@lemmy.world•Google fucked a whole generation with Chromebooks, and now they're fucking the next generation with AI
21·8 months agoI work in education. The chromebooks at my school replaced the convential computer lab where kids would learn how to actually use the computer.
I plan to put postmarketos on this bad boy once I know the 5g will work. Cellular reception will be crucial more than anything for Linux phones to succeed.
I would look at Fair phone. I imported one to the US and I love it.

Thank you! Glad you like my name, and happy to be here.
Lemm.ee shutting down was so unexpected for me, thank you everyone involved in taking us in.

I am a big fan of OpenSuse personally. You have a lot of different options between stable 2-year releases, a rolling release that pairs nicely with a Slowroll monthly snapshot release model if tumbleweed updates too quickly for you, and finally immutable options.
