Surf-virgin no more
Ok, so the waves were really REALLY small. And since the board was long (and I am not), para rin lang akong nakatayo sa lamesa. But still, I surfed! Finally, I took Kagey up on her invite to La Union. It was a fun, chill long weekend. Astig pala talaga yung feeling. Yun lang, I strongly suggest having breakfast BEFORE surfing dahil, ohmygod, kakapagod! Feeling ko magpa-passout ako dun sa board eh.We even took a short side trip up to Baguio (ang mahal na ng ukay ha). All in all, had a good time. Was even able to take a couple of pictures to update my Flickr.Uuy, nakaka-two new things na ako this year. One for each quarter pa lang, pero we'll see. I'll keep an eye out for other new stuff to try out. :)

Pizza pizza!
The pizza workshop I attended was pretty cool. Medyo bitin lang yung hands-on part 'cos we were only able to make 1 pizza per pair. Although ayus pa rin, I got to toss the dough in the air and everything. Nakakatawa lang kasi there were these 2 (I'm assuming) high school girls beside me, and wow, they could not have cared LESS for the class. I think their moms just shlepped them off to whatever workshop they could find to keep them busy for the summer. Eh I was at the back row so it was a bit hard to hear Cher Giorgio na nga, may accent pa eh di mas mataas pa ng level of difficulty. So I was straining to listen to (and decode) his lecture, meanwhile, yung dalawa sa tabi ko, chikahan lang ng chikahan... their sentences every so often punctuated by the "chik" of their camera phones (nagpipikchuran pa ang mga hindot).
So, irita na ako, pero sige, ignore na lang. But no. Sabi nung isa "Ms. Sabrina...?" (Sabrina kasi yung nilagay ko sa nametag)
ME: Yes?
HINDOT #1: Pwede pa kopya ng notes?
ME: (internally: naknangteteng.) Oh sure.
HINDOT#1: (pause for 2 seconds)... pahiram na rin ng ballpen.
Aysos. Siyempre di pa natapos dun. Andami pang follow-up questions: Ano daw yung temperature? Gaano kalaki dapat yung dough? Lalagyan ba ng water? Pwede na ba kami umalis?
Wow. Sarap pagtripan eh: "Sabi niya add a little saliva."
But barring those 2 idiots, I had fun. I don't think I'll be able to attend other classes there though. Sayang nga kasi the following Monday was Fresh Pasta and sauces, kaso yun nga... Monday. Although pwede naman ako mag-leave, natatambakan ako pagbalik ko eh. Oh well.
