believe

Christmas already! My son Dion, his presents are already under the tree, just wrapped for effect. My daughter, Steph, Santa still has to come tonight through the front door that we leave slightly open and we have to leave a carrot, milk and a biscuit for our guests. Cute.

eve

Have yourselves a very Merry Christmas.
See you in the new year.

live and learn

This weeks el cheapo find was this Rimini Blue pot. The candle holders were from op shop find last year. It was not until this very moment when I googled blue and italian that I knew the name of this particular style of pottery. I just called it the blue Italian stuff, as its just marked Italy on the bottom with some numbers. Fascinating. Vivere e imparare. I googled that too.

5 baubles

This years baubles all complete. Phew. Although there are only 5. One got smashed in a school shoe incident, and if it weren't for the season for to be jolly I would be quite peeved.

partridge in a pear tree

I am making myself some pj's. Pants to come later. These are store bought tank tops from Kmart, and a transfer from New Idea 1977, before New Idea became obsessed with celebrity.
I hope the un-embroidered blue transfer washes out, I really have completed these to my satisfaction.

Pyrex and pav

Have had a lucky bowl finding spree in the last couple of weeks. I need these bowls, just in case. (Just in case I get the urge to cook...four things at once, ha ha as if).

up close & personal with bowls

No, really. I justified these purchases in my head as I bought them over and over again. "That would be good to whip the egg white for the pav in", I thought to myself, "well I've got one may as well get another", I muttered, "ooh Ive never seen that design before" I exclaimed ,"aahhh a little one to match the big one" I cooed. Before I knew it, voila, a collection.

not a cracker

OK its the 1st of December, the Christmas tree goes up in our house.
We haven't seen all this stuff in a year and its just...well, like Christmas!
I will show crafts of years gone by as I cannot show any new things cause Ive got zilch at the moment.
The gold stars are dough. They have stood the test of time. They are about 4 years old now. The deer is from last year and a 2005 ball hand painted with my sons name on it.
At the moment I am quite bereft of time and hope to get some sewing done soon. Im getting all itchy and nervy about it.
