Made in the USA, this is the Original Stone Hook that you can screw directly into your wall or door. I came up with this design in 2007 and they have been a best seller ever since. These substantial hooks are great for hanging towels, swimsuits, coats, hats, backpacks, leashes, etc. Use a single one or mount several in a row. Create your own hook rack by mounting them on a favorite piece of driftwood or a wooden plank. If you're looking for a small knob for your kitchen cabinets or bathroom vanity, this is not the product you need. Over the years we have perfected the design to make our stone hooks stronger than they'll ever have to be. We find these stones on New England beaches where they have been tumbled and massaged by the ocean until they're rounded and smooth. We drill a hole in the back of each stone and embed a #14 screw with industrial epoxy. More epoxy secures the Maple spacer to the screw. The epoxy we use is rated at 2.5 tons per square inch... strong enough to stand up to any radial or lateral force you can muster. The maple spacer gets three coats of sealer so it will stand up to moisture and weather. We recommend screwing them into a wooden wall, a wall stud or a plank, but we include expanding plastic anchors so you can mount them on a sheetrock wall as well. The stones we use for these Towel Hooks vary a bit in size (approximately 3" to 4½"), shape (generally round-ish) and color. We offer them in grey and speckled granite.
