Thodveldisbaerinn is a reconstruction of a 12th century Viking longhouse. It's just down the road from Stong, where there is a genuine viking longhouse, but unfortunately the weather conditions were so bad when I visited that I was unable get my camera out. Both houses are on the lip of the hostile and barren Icelandic interior. That anyone could survive here over 900 years ago is staggering.
