Food exhibition

In the exhibition ‘Food in Wartime’ at Resistance Museum Amsterdam, visitors learned about Dutch eating habits during the Second World War, which was often surprisingly healthy: less meat, fat and dairy, and more vegetables – in season where possible and home-grown. Visitors encountered five Dutch celebrity chefs. On video, they and curator Karlien Metz prepared dishes using ingredients available during the occupation years.
