Alyssa Alonso on Instagram: "Abuela’s Yellow Rice💛 In a large pot on medium heat add: -1/4 cup olive oil -1 cup of diced onion -1 tablespoon of minced garlic -2 Bay Leaves -2 tablespoons of butter Once the butter is melted add in 3 cups of white rice that has been rinsed. Then add in your liquid. You can use water or chicken broth, (and just refer to the back of your rice package for the proper liquid amount and cooking time for 3 cups worth of rice.) Then season with chicken bouillon powder and Sazon to taste. You want the water to be extra seasoned, (like the absolute saltiest you’d prefer a soup to be.) Then lastly, add about 10 threads of saffron.
