Per our conversation during planning, it was decided to remove all convenience links for the first Special:Block codex release.

Moving the errors to the bottom of the page feels non-intuitive to me.

@MusikAnimal What do you think about triggering the API when the user "stops typing"? Perhaps we can consider adding a keyup and a timeout event that would trigger the API call. What are your thoughts on this?

@GMikesell-WMF Can you verify that this has been fixed? I tested the main branch and couldn't replicate this issue. Thanks!

Yup, the config is $wgGroupPermissions['sysop']['hideuser'] = true; in your LocalSettings.php

@GMikesell-WMF Thank you for sharing your findings! I submitted a follow up patch to add the "Hide username .." option. It will not enabled/disabled since this is dependent on the expiration option. The period of 1 day language will also apply when we add the expiration field. Currently, we'll see $1 as a placeholder. Thanks again :)

I can fix this in a follow up patch. Looks like we need to set the width on the form.
- If the dropdown overflows the page and has a scroll, if you use the keyboard to select it does not scroll down
- Going to Special:Block/1.2.3.4 does not prefill the form.
We haven't implemented prefilling form.
- It does not look quite right on Minerva (I think this is in part due to T353759)
- The dropdown is not in the Figma spec, so I don't know exactly how it should look. It looks the same as it does on OOUI, which I guess is OK.
- Home and End don't work as described in T310556.
- The API request to api.php?action=query&list=allusers is the same as OOUI except it uses origin. I don't know if that matters.
I'll ask about this. Not sure if this matters but thank you for pointing this out.
