I love the natural beauty of birch log wedding cakes for winter weddings. These cakes mimic the look of real birch trees with their white, textured exterior and dark streaks.

For Becky and Joshua’s outdoorsy February wedding, we topped their four-tier cake with a burst of pinecones and evergreen dusted with powdered sugar, which looks like a fresh layer of snow. Simple yet effective! The rustic motif continues down the side of the cake, which is frosted in buttercream textured to look like snow-covered mountains and trees.
