This picture has been taken when the moon was really big and bright (quite close to the earth) and so called "super moon". Taken with the D300 and the 200-400mm and 2x teleconverter.

Def: The full moon closest to the autumnal equinox. Unusually this year the full moon coincided on the same day as the equinox - Thursday night. This is actually Wednesday night's moon as Thursday was cloudy. I always wanted to have a go at this effect!
