When we are tempted to be overcome by the terror of the last days, may we remember the faith of past prophets—and of God—in us.

While President of BYU, Elder Jeffrey R. Holland gave a devotional entitled, “Of Souls, Symbols, and Sacraments.” Within this address, he talks about the sanctity of physical intimacy. More specifically, he tells Latter-day Saints three reasons why sexual purity is so crucial to our salvation: it affects our souls, it is a sacred symbol, and it is a sacrament.

In response to questions surrounding when seminary and institute will return to the classroom, Elder Jeffrey R. Holland said in a new video and article released Sunday that while there many not be a perfect answer to these questions, the hope is that in whatever way possible, high school and college students are having a “scriptural experience and a spiritual education every day of the week.”

After studying many of Elder Jeffrey R. Holland's talks online and sharing a faith-filled discussion with the apostle, Rev. Dr. Andrew Teal said of Elder Holland, "I find him a wholesome, faithful and inspiring man. Indeed, 'great' but lacking all pomposity of grandeur — I love his humor and really respond to the 'gift of tears' which he so often receives and unashamedly shares. I … hope that this is the start of a fruitful friendship."

While at the Church of Oxford's Pembroke College Chapel, Elder Holland answered questions concerning family life, mental health, Church policy, and many other concerns members have.

Elder Holland said, "Avoid getting tripped up by the phrase "traditional family" and instead replace it with a phrase like "eternal family."

"He understands me. He loves me. He reaches me," Elder Jeffrey R. Holland shares in a powerful new video. "I can't explain how that happens. I just know that it does."
