Michelle Barrera let me use lots great pictures of how her church, Teaching Word Faith Center (Fort Worth, TX) decorated for Athens VBS several years back. Here is how they made large pots. You can see the bases of the vases are made of cardboard and duct-tape which is then covered with paper mache. They then covered the vases with plaster (At least, I think that's plaster). Ancient Rome/Greece bulletin board idea. The whole thing cost $14.50 at the dollar tree. 3 poster boards $0.50 each 8 vines $1.00 each 4 w/ grapes on it 4 w/o and finally 5 plastic grape bunches some red some green and some black $1.00 each. Not bad for a middle school teacher.

Prom theme of grecian gardens. We did this backdrop behind the dance floor. 4 tall white columns with garden boxed on the top filled with ferns, ivy and green plants. Ferns along the column bases held uplights.
