Something Blue

Hello friends,

Hope you are doing well! I am sharing a shabby/vintage card I created today. For this card I used one of my favourite dies to play with, the brushstroke flowers dies from Tim Holtz. The flowers were coloured with distress sprays and distress inks and then layered on designer paper with mirror tape for dimension. I finished off with a strip of Tim Holtz vintage die cut lace, pearls and a pretty sentiment.  The full list of product details used on the card are at the bottom of my post.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

For Someone Special

Hello friends,

Hope you are doing well! I am so excited to share a masculine card today after a few months not entering any challenges. I am still making cards that I sell on craft markets but did not always have the time to upload them on my blog. I hope I can make more time  to enter challenges for the rest of the year. For this card I just added a few layers of background paper and stickers, a bold sentiment as focal point and silhouette die cuts of a gentleman and dog. This card can be a birthday card or will also be good for father’s day.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

A Pretty Red Christmas Bow

Hello friends,

The 2023 Christmas hustle and bustle is over and I’ve created my first 2024 Christmas card to share with you today. My card is created in the  vintage style. I used white cardstock for the base and a vintage sheet music layer. I added a red die cut bow, leaves, gold twine, small bells and a few gold pearls. To finish off the card I used a gold die cut sentiment.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

Happy Hour

Hello dear friends,

Hope you are doing well! I am so excited to share a clean and simple card today after several months not entering any challenges. I really missed my crafting time and all my friends in cyber space. Hope Your Day Is Amazing

Hello friends,

A new challenge starts today at Double D Challenges. Team Darlene is hosting this challenge with the theme “Purple – Blue –Green”. The team have created a bunch of beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile. We have also a fun prize to give away to one lucky player which will be chosen by Random.org.

Now onto the details of my card for the challenge. I used my brushstroke flower die to created the flowers for my floral arrangement. I die cut the flowers from coloured cardstock, then distress them on the edges with inks. I  assembled all the small pieces to create depth and dimension. The floral arrangement was then layered with mirror tape on a purple striped background layer and a strip of lace. I finished off with a die cut sentiment and a few sequins. Hope you like my take on the challenge.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

Under The Sea

Hello friends,

Today’s post is about the new challenge at Double D Challenges with the theme “Creatures Under/In The Sea”. For more information about the challenge and the lovely prize, visit the Double D Challenge blog. Looking forward to see your creation!

My card was inspired by the sea horse and the blue colours in the inspiration photo. I created my background with distress oxide sprays and pixie powders, and then layered it on the base card. I stamped a vertical sentiment (a little bit skewed) on the right side of the card. The coral, shell, star fish and sea horses are then layered on the background. The sea horses are heat embossed with blue embossing powder as well as some of the coral. I finished off with a few clear water droplets.

I also entered my card in the following challenges:
