No Man's Sky Announces Worlds Part 1 Update, Will "Completely Refresh" The Universe

Over the past few days, No Man's Sky creator Sean Murray has been doing his traditional social media ritual whenever a new update is on the way. This time, Murray has been using planet emojis to tease what Hello Games has been working on, which is very fitting now that we know the next update is called Worlds Part 1, which will give the No Man's Sky universe a complete refresh with new tech, gameplay, and things to discover.

Worlds Part 1 was announced earlier today in a new trailer, with a second deep dive trailer showcasing some of the new technology and planet changes that will be included in the update. For starters, No Man's Sky has implemented some new water technology to create waves and reflections, vastly improving the oceans players have seen so far. Planets that feature large oceans will feel completely different, your ship will be able to land on the surface of the water, and waves will react to the weather and newly added wind patterns.
