A Deck of Playing Cards Collective Art Project

The project The idea of the project is to create a sizable unique deck of poker playing cards where each card is individually designed by a different student/artist.This project transforms simple deck of cards ineclectic art gallery that can be shuffled and played or be displayed as posters in the classroom. Students will look at several different examples of playing cards, and identify similarities and characteristics they all share, fill in the card templates using patterns, symbols, images or objects which relate to themselves. Students will also color using a color scheme relevant to them.The students design must fit within the template This set includes 54 templates and 10 Illustrated samplesThe cards are 1 sided since they can be used as posters.Objectives Upon completion of this project, students will be able to: Look and study several different playing cards, and identify the similarities and differences in line, shape, color pattern and texture.Create sizable, fashionable deck of playing cards.Understand space, emphasis, and balance.Learn how to use multiple media in one work of art.Learn how to create poster illustrations.
