This gorgeous freestanding shrine has been handmade from toasted stoneware with designs in white porcelain stencilled onto it. Every now and then I feel the urge to put feet on things, and this shrine is the result. I used several stencils to get the very tidy patterns that I have put onto this shrine using white porcelain. The designs are fired on, but stand slightly proud of the body of the piece. The whole piece is unglazed so it does have a coarse texture. As with almost all my work it…
