Here's what went into making them compact yet useful. १. I kept the height of the broom cupboard at 7 feet as I felt any kind of mops/brooms/dusting rods should be accomodated here. The bottom part of this cabinet is open to facilitate the movement of excess water dripping from the mops directly into the drain pipe below, keeping the cabinet odour free. २. The depth behind the door is only 7 inches, which meant I had to take in maximum space for utility. With a wooden carcass and a door outside, I got 5 inches of depth inside which was enough for housing the brooms, mops and dusters. ३.
