These boards will need to be planed smooth after they fully dry, but it’s much better than letting the log just rot on the ground. I may look at drilling a hole through the bar to eliminate some of the wobble in the cut. It’s not much, and is probably just as much due to using a really old unevenly sharpened chain as it is due to slop in the jig.   I’m loving the spalting in this log though. This lumber is going to be real pretty once it’s cleaned up.   Also very impressed with my stihl chainsaw.
