"One Of A Kind" This wonderful little edwardian boater just screams summer is here! Handmade and hand blocked Milanese straw boater in classic natural color. Straw boater is not mass produced. Each hat is individually made using a 100 year old straw braid machine. It's a real art and not to many milliners are still employing this technique. Hat is decorated with a stunning vintage silk velvet ribbon that was "Made in France". The fuschia color is rich and vibrant and has a luscious texture. But my favorite part of the decoration is the jaunty little butterfly that was Handmade in Japan. The origami print is just to charming and the exquisite detail including the tiny gold beads on the antenna! Interior of hat has a grosgrain head size ribbon, silver comb and 2 loops for attaching to hair with bobby pins. Brim front to back 12" side to side 11.5" Crown height 2.5" Head size 21.5" (Meant to perch on head. Will fit all head sizes)
