Subway tile doesn’t have to be basic! Subway tile is a favorite for many reasons but as an interior designer, I love it due to its numerous colors & sizes, and the million and one configurations I can design with it! This tile lay I have been loving lately - bordered stacks! Laying the top row vertical and second row horizontal adds visual interest and gives a modern twist to a timeless subway tile! Another way to do it is having a thick grout line going horizontally and thin grout lines vertically. Oh! The possibilities are endless.

Let me know what you think! Would you try this in your home??
