Best viewed on black background  Gecko created by repetitive pattern of dots. I used the end of wooden pencils, small toothpicks and Q-tips to create the various dot sizes.   Inspiration was Australian aboriginal dot painting art and my own fascination with dots, repetition, circles, patterns and the rhythm caused when they are combined. I also have a passion for geckoes, their behavior, look, skin patterns and body design.    Material tempera paint and construction paper. Not very permanent... Azeza Possum was born in Kempsey, NSW in November 1995. She is the granddaughter of Clifford Possum Tjapaltjairri, AO (c. 1937 – 2002), Australia’s most celebrated Aboriginal artist. Clifford’s art hangs in all of the major collections and museums worldwide, he presented his art to the Queen, and features in numerous important publications on the Masters of Australian Art. Azeza is the second youngest daughter of senior artist Michelle Possum Nungurrayi and Heath Tjangala. Michelle is the youngest child of Clifford making Azeza (and her 2 sisters) the third generation of artists in her family.
