and finally....

I made 3 more calendars for pressies. I have enjoyed making these. Wow, think I need to take a rest after all that crafting.

A Fairy Princess Castle for my Princess

I started this project with a "Beyond the Page" blank board book. I painted the boards using Rose Pink and Soft Green paints and accented them with White Gold paint. All the paints were by Craig & Rose and available in small jars from B & Q. I hadn't used this brand before and found it to be the nicest I'd tried so will be buying more, especially the metallic range.

The front cover was embellished with painted greenery and flowers and tiny vellum butterflies. When the book was completed I added lots of fibres to the book rings and 3 tags detailing what the book is about. I think I've gone a bit over the top with the fibres and am seriously thinking of removing some.
Inside the front cover I added some glittery butterflies and a Princess tag. Board two again had painted flowers and vellum butterflies and I added tiny pearls to the scalloped edge. I also drew in with glue and glamourdust the detailing to show through the door and windows of the front board.

Inside that board I added Mya's name from chipboard and again liberally dusted with glamourdust, which looks just like fairy dust. I then iserted 3 pages on both sides of which I placed photos of Mya at her uncle's wedding.

On the third board I made a tile design on the top of each turret using glue and glamour dust. Again added pearls along the scalloped edge and cut out from some DCWV paper "Once Upon a Time".

Once Upon a Time ribbons and a tag and butterfly were used on the back of the third board and three more pages were added with more photos from the wedding.

On the front of the back board I painted the roof of each turret in gold and scratched out tile details. I then cut the sprays of glittered flowers from some card I had and dusted the page with yet more glamour dust.
I hope my little grandaughter will treasure this momento of the day she was flower girl at her Uncle Perry's wedding. This was a real fun project.

My pal Spud

most of you know I lost my other cat Spud 2 weeks ago. To loose him just 7 weeks after his brother has been terrible and I have been delaying putting his picture on here as it sort of made it final and I still keep expecting him to walk through the door. He was a beautiful cat and I miss him terribly. He always considered himself a dog and not a cat and here he is with his old pal Harley who also misses both Spud and Norman terribly.

and here are the 3 of them together - they were such good pals.

While I was waiting

WHile I was waiting for my 'pressies' posts to upload my little man was sitting next to me and I realised I haven't taken any photos of him lately. So here are a couple I've just taken of my best friend.

Pressies Part 4

and here is the forth and last pressie for today. It's for my other daughteer-in-law (Mya's mummy) and of course it features our little princess.

Pressies - Part 3

This one is for the new in laws.

Pressies Part2

Here's the second pressie - it's for my new daughter-in-law and features very large tags. I've put quotes about marriage on the back of each tag.

Pressies - part1

I have the last Cosmic Cricket TSV and decidedto use some of it to make pressies for Chanukah. They were really easy to make, just a matter of covering chipboard and embellishing. I used photos from our younger son's wedding for the gifts and this first one is for my sister-in-law and features her four grandchildren.

and yet another......

I am obviously in calendar mood at the moment and have just made myself a perpetual calendar to use for birthdays and anniversaries. I used another CB download and printed off the 12 calendar month pages and the front cover altering the size to suit the calendar I wanted to make. I glued each page to a long slim piece of white card and then bound these together using my Bind It All. I added a family photo to each page trying to match the person to a celebration in that month. I am now going on to make more of these for other family members, personalising them with photos relating to their immediate family.

There is a gap for September, there are some sad people in this world.
