Oh yeah, he's looking concerned. So now, cut out the circle. This cuts super easy. So now, you can just remove it. Next, I have a cauldron. You can just set this down. Right? That was some pea gravel. This whole bag was 5. This right here is a wooden steak. Wedge got right in the middle. Now, take your pumpkin head and you just want to penetrate that wooden stake like that. Next, I have some spray foam. Always use gloves with this. This is the most fun part. Spray inside now. Really get all in there. Guide this down the stick. Smear some on the face like that over the mouth and then just trickle some down just like that. Create some drippy drips over the edge like this. I love this brand of spray paint and this looks very pukey and that is what we want. I like to mix in a nice bright green as well. You can get this spray paint at Michael's. Works so nice. The colors are amazing. There we go. Oh, yeah. Now, you want some gross things. Plop those in the fluff. I like to also add spiders. Oh yeah. These are all from the Dollar Tree and as many as you want. Now, when this is done, it dries hard, okay? So, I just put it on my patio and now, check this out everyone. We've got a throwing up pumpkin into a cauldron and it's completely suspended in midair and here's the proof from the back and it's not resting against the wall. This is completely freestanding and so cool and unique. I am obsessed with this and now here is option two. This also looks awesome on a table and you really notice that effect even more. I mean, look at this. That is awesome. I love optical illusion crafts and if you do it the right way, they're very easy to accomplish. Those rocks that we put in in the beginning are both steadying that pumpkin in midair and they're also counter balancing for any wind. If you live in a windy area, then this craft is for you. No excuses guys and you can add more rocks if you're uncertain but I would say that weighs a good 10 to 20 pounds. Let me know which version you like the best. Either way. You are good. Tips: 1. Not all cheeseclothes are created equal. There are different grades. The white ghosts are 50/60 grade and the light beige ghost is 90 grade (which is why I used 2 layers for the lower grade and only one layer for the higher grade. Lower grade is a tad flimsier. ) 2. I used fabric stiffener, but you can substitute with glue, mod Podge, liquid starch. 1:1 ratio (1 part glue 1 part water and mix) 3. I used different size vases or Starbucks cups for varying size ghosties 🌝 4. To make the ghost arms, I used pipe cleaners ( 4 in total, 2 per arm. twisted them together so they are sturdy). I taped the pipe cleaner to the inside of the Starbucks cup to keep in place. You can also use foil to make the arms. 5. Drying time varies. I always wait 48 hrs before for it to fully dry, esp for the double layered ghosties. 6. Add some string lights (def recommend getting one that comes with remote, esp if you’re making multiple) 7. THE EYES: stiffened felt works best. You can use regular felt but for me, it was harder to cut and shape the eye. I hot glued eyes to the ghostie. One of these glass vases. Some black felt. Some kind of a witch's hat and an LED push light. You're going to flip that vase upside down. Grab your mop head. Move all of the strings out of the way. Apply a generous amount of hot glue on the bottom of that vase and carefully place that mop head right over it. You want to hold it down for a few seconds to make sure that that hot glue is Completely dry. You could leave the strings as is but I decided to unravel the bottoms of them. This gives it a little bit more thickness and volume and personally I like it a lot better. I think it looks a little bit more flowy and a little bit more ghost like. Cut two circles out of that black felt for the ghost's eyes and then just glue those right on and then add your witches hat to the top of that mop head. I didn't like the ones that were at dollar Tree so I ended up just making my own out of some of that extra felt. Again, just add some generous amount of hot glue and place that hat right over. Add any embellishments. I just added this fake spider. Grab that LED light and place it at the bottom opening of that vase. It fits perfectly and there you go guys. How precious did this come out?
