Offering a gorgeous vintage 1940s - 1950s era warm ivory/light beige champagne mesh Art Deco flapper purse made by Whiting & Davis in PRISTINE vintage condition and perfect for the Bride! If you've ever seen one of these purses in person you know just how well made they are. The mesh has a wonderful fluidity and movement so it shimmers as it catches the light. I love the SO 1920's Art Deco flapper design of this one. The frame is a beautiful textured/brushed gold on the front, back and sides. Photos don't begin to do this bag justice or capture the sparkle of the mesh or frame adequately. The bag measures 9 inches (22.8 cm) high, not counting the clasp, and is 6 3/4 inches (17.1 cm) wide along the bottom so it will easily fit your essentials including your phone. The gorgeous long chain strap, when extended, is 14 inches (35.6 cm) above the top of the purse in the middle. The purse is lined with ivory colored satiny fabric with one internal pocket. Lining is attached securely with no rips or fraying or discoloration. The outside of the purse is in near pristine vintage condition as well with no breaks in the mesh and the enamel still fantastic the frame also fantastic and the ornate gold tone link chain in excellent shape as well. The kiss lock clasp functioning perfectly and is still shiny gold. The bag bears the "Mesh Whiting & Davis Bags Made in the U.S.A." cloth tag.
