Hello everyone! I need your help!

12 years ago I first visited ms.wiki and I began to check files. A lot have happened since then with the help of many users. I hope we can get the last part of the way in 2023.

Right now when I make this post there are 941 files in the category [[:Kategori:Semua media bebas]]. I would like your help to check those files.

Suggestions on what to do:

# Check if file is already on Commons. If yes tag with {{tl|NowCommons}}
# Check if file is copied from English Wikipedia for example. If yes check original file and move it to Commons and then tag file on ms.wiki with {{tl|NowCommons}}
# If possible add information about source and author. Then move it to Commons and tag file on ms.wiki with {{tl|NowCommons}}
# If there is no good source/author ask uploader if uploader is still active.
# Replace bad files with a good file from Commons. Then nominate bad file for deletion.
# If the file is not actually free but the file is still relevant please add a {{tl|Non-free fair use}} tag.
# Replace the obsolete {{tl|PD}} tag with a better one.

Once all files are checked, fixed, moved, deleted … the number of files should drop from the original 941 to zero.

The vote on the Enforcement Guidelines in January 2023 showed a majority approval of the Enforcement Guidelines. There were 369 comments received and a detailed summary of the comments will be published shortly. Just over three-thousand (3097) voters voted and 76% approved of the Enforcement Guidelines. As the support increased, this signifies to the Board that the current version has addressed some of the issues indicated during the last review in 2022. A special election has been called to fill additional vacancies on the U4C. The call for candidates phase is open from now through July 19, 2024.
The Universal Code of Conduct project team has completed the analysis of the comments accompanying the ratification vote on the [[m:Special:MyLanguage/Universal Code of Conduct/Revised enforcement guidelines|revised Universal Code of Conduct Enforcement Guidelines]].


The [[:m:Special:MyLanguage/Universal Code of Conduct/Coordinating Committee|Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee]] (U4C) is a global group dedicated to providing an equitable and consistent implementation of the [[:foundation:Wikimedia Foundation Universal Code of Conduct|UCoC]]. Community members are invited to submit their applications in the special election for the U4C. For more information and the responsibilities of the U4C, please review the [[m:Special:MyLanguage/Universal Code of Conduct/Coordinating Committee/Charter|U4C Charter]].
All respondents to the vote had the opportunity to provide comments regarding the contents of the revised Enforcement Guidelines draft document. The [[m:Special:MyLanguage/Wikimedia_Foundation_elections_committee|Wikimedia Foundation elections committee]] (Elections Committee) is, from today until April 24, seeking an additional 2–4 members to help facilitate the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustee (Board) selection process.

The 2024 Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees election is being planned. New members are invited to join the Elections Committee. The Elections Committee oversees the Board of Trustees community seat selection process. Join the committee and contribute your valuable skills and ideas to the Trustee selection process.

There are eight community- and affiliate-selected seats on [[m:Special:MyLanguage/Wikimedia_Foundation_Board_of_Trustees|the Wikimedia Foundation Board]]. The wider Wikimedia community votes for community members to occupy these seats. In 2024, the Elections Committee will oversee this selection process for the community- and affiliate-selected seats with expiring terms. This process will be supported by the Wikimedia Foundation.

Elections Committee members sign up for three-year terms and will be asked to [[phab:L37|sign a confidentiality agreement]]. Members can expect to contribute 2–5 hours per week before the selection process and 5–8 hours per week during the selection process.

As an Elections Committee member, you will be responsible for:

* Attending online meetings between now and the next election (mid-2024)
* Attending onboarding and online training in May–June 2023

I want to bring your attention to the next stage of the Universal Code of Conduct process, which is forming a building committee for the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C). I invite community members with experience and deep interest in community health and governance to nominate themselves to be part of the U4C building committee, which needs people who are:

* Community members in good standing
* Knowledgeable about movement community processes, such as, but not limited to, policy drafting, participatory decision making, and application of existing rules and policies on Wikimedia projects
* Aware and appreciative of the diversity of the movement, such as, but not limited to, languages spoken, identity, geography, and project type
* Committed to participate for the entire U4C Building Committee period from mid-May - December 2023

The person is titled as the first director-general of the Asian "World Women's Organization", "the International Relations Officer of the Office of the Deputy Speaker of the Malaysian Parliament", the first Chinese and the first Asian Director-General of the Asian "World Women's Organization".


According to [[:zh:Wikipedia:頁面存廢討論/記錄/2023/04/24#世界妇女组织|discussions at zhwiki]], World Women's Organization appears to be a fake or non-existing NGO that has no notability at all. And it was noted in the edit summary by an IP user[https://zh.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=%E5%AE%89%E6%A0%BC%E6%8B%89%C2%B7%E7%BD%97&diff=prev&oldid=67112450] that "there is no such position in Malaysia".

== Closing down project clean up files ==
Hi! I made my first edit here on ms.wiki in 2010 and since then much have happened. Now project “clean up files” can soon be closed. Many users helped over the years.

The project started with trying to fix files with out a license and if that was not possible then get the files deleted.

Another part of the project was to have unused non-free files deleted.

The part of the project that took the most time was checking the files with a free license and either move them to Commons if everything was okay or to try to fix if some information was missing.

For a long time files were generally ignored if they had a license but they had no source, author or permission. Just in case someone might be able to fix that. But with all the easy files fixed it was time to move along and work on the hard files. So the latest few weeks I have been marking files without source, author or permission for deletion and [[Pengguna:CyberTroopers]] and [[Pengguna:PeaceSeekers]] have been deleting files.

Right now there are 337 files in [[:Kategori:Semua media bebas]]. Most of them probably have to be deleted. If someone can help add information about any of the files please do so now. Otherwise the files will be nominated for deletion.

There is a part of the project I will not complete. The non-free files. The unused files ([[Special:UnusedFiles]]) should be added to an article or deleted. Also the files need a rationale. Further more if the person is still alive then fair-use is generally not possible. The [[foundation:Special:MyLanguage/Policy:Universal Code of Conduct/Enforcement guidelines|Enforcement Guidelines]] require a [[foundation:Special:MyLanguage/Policy:Universal_Code_of_Conduct/Enforcement_guidelines#4.5_U4C_Building_Committee|Building Committee]] form to draft a charter that outlines procedures and details for a global committee to be called the [[foundation:Special:MyLanguage/Policy:Universal_Code_of_Conduct/Enforcement_guidelines#4._UCoC_Coordinating_Committee_(U4C)|Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C)]]. Over the past few months, the U4C Building Committee worked together as a group to discuss and draft the U4C charter. U4C Special Election - Call for Candidates

A special election has been called to fill additional vacancies on the U4C. The call for candidates phase is open from now through July 19, 2024.

The Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) is a global group dedicated to providing an equitable and consistent implementation of the UCoC. Community members are invited to submit their applications in the special election for the U4C. For more information and the responsibilities of the U4C, please review the U4C Charter.

In this special election, according to chapter 2 of the U4C charter, there are 9 seats available on the U4C: four community-at-large seats and five regional seats to ensure the U4C represents the diversity of the movement. No more than two members of the U4C can be elected from the same home wiki. Therefore, candidates must not have English Wikipedia, German Wikipedia, or Italian Wikipedia as their home wiki.

Sebagaimana yang telah diumumkan oleh Suruhanjaya sebelumnya, undian ini mencapai kuorum sah untuk proses undian individu mahupun pertubuhan bersekutu tempatan pada semasa ditutup pada tanggal 9 Juli pukul 23:59 UTC. Kami mengucapkan terima kasih sebesar-besarnya kepada 2.451 pengundi individu dan 129 perwakilan pertubuhan bersekutu tempatan Wikimedia yang telah mengundi. Undi dan komen Anda amat berharga untuk menentukan masa hadapan Strategi Pergerakan.

Keputusan akhir pengundian pengesahan Piagam Gerakan Wikimedia diadakan antara 25 Jun dan 9 Julai 2024 adalah seperti berikut:

Dari 129 perwakilan pertubuhan bersekutu tempatan yang membuang undi sebelum pukul 23:59 UTC tanggal 9 Julai, 129 undi dinyatakan sah. Tercatat 93 undi "ya"; 18 undi "tidak"; dan 18 undi memilih "-" (berkecuali). Oleh kerana undi berkecuali tidak dihitung, 83.78% pertubuhan bersekutu tempatan memberikan undi untuk menyokong pengesahan Piagam (93/111), manakala 16.22% memilih untuk menolak pengesahan Piagam (18/111).
