How do I?

How do I start again with blogging? I know that I need to start writing and posting. It has been so long. I am going to attempt to be better. :)

Life is around here is fun, exciting and well, boring sometimes. We have had a great couple of months with our new little Kate. She is adorable and such a happy baby! Her big brother and sister love her (and sometimes it is overwhelming to her)

Connor and Anne are doing really well in preschool. Connor has taught himself how to read - which is super exciting! He loves school, for learning and for the social aspect of it. Annie is my little spitfire! She knows what she wants and goes for it!! She is doing great at writing her name and learning so much from Mrs. Aubrey.

Steven is loving his job at the church. We love that he is home earlier in the day... spends more time with us and everything!

We have loved living next door to my parents. It has been fun to go and visit Grandma during the day. Steven's parents also live close - so it is fun to stop in and visit!

I will put some pictures soon! So long!

Sick kids...

There is nothing worse than having sick kids. Connor has been coming down with a cold for the past few days. Last night, Annie woke up crying. Steven sent me to get her. She had the flu or something. I ran her up to the bath to get her cleaned up and scared my parents like crazy! Oops. Oh well. I can't do anything about that. So we had to cancel our preschool Christmas party. BUMMER!! We will have it next week!

It's Christmas time!

We got Santa pictures without any tears this year. Last year, Annie screamed and screamed when she sat on his lap. Fun Stuff!! Here they are - So excited for christmas and the fun!! We also are so glad to have Uncle Jeff home from his mission. The kids adore him - I think he likes them too!

Okay....

I need to be better about posting. My excuse for the last year has been...
-Nothing to post
-my camera broke
-I don't feel like it
-I am boring

So I am trying to overcome this and use it as a journal of sorts. I am hoping for a new Camera for Christmas - so that won't be an excuse.

So what have we been up to for the last year?

Not a whole lot. Watching our kids grow, getting a new job (Steven), Quitting my job (Emily), Annie having her tonsils taken out, Steven getting his appendix out, Connor going to preschool - just to name a few!!

We have so many blessings. Thank you to those who have touched our lives. Thank you!!

Now that I have overcome the first hurdle of writing a blog - there shall be more. I make no guarantees at how often they will occur. Keep smiling!

falling off the planet

So, really... Utah swallowed us up and we disappeared!! :) Actually, I have been waiting for a good opportunity to tell what is going on.

The biggest news is that Steven started his job with Aflec last week and it seems that he is really enjoying it!! We have been having so much fun here with family. The kids love the attention from Grandma and Grandpa.

Annie has grown so much in the last few months... it is crazy!! She can say four word... at least babble four words - Blanket, Mama, Grandpa and Doggie. And she is standing up on her own and crawling down the stairs all by herself!!

Connor has been saying more sentences and I love that he is talking more!! He is a bit sleep deprived because he is now going to bed a bit later than I would like - due to increase stubbornness and just because. We love him and he loves us!! He loves watching Blues Clues and Little Einstein.

Our newest addition has been a golden retrieve named Noni. She is actually my parents dog but we love her as well!! I will post pictures tonight because our computer will (hopefully) be hooked up to the Internet!!

Love you all!!

We made it to UTAH!!

We made here. This last week we have been on vacation... of sorts. It has been a lot of organizing and trying to get the kids on some sort of schedule. Tonight is the first night that they have both been down at 7:00PM!! Can you say "WAHOO"!! We sent Steven off to the airport and will see him in a few weeks. We miss him and can't wait until we see him again!! Connor and Anne have loved being here where they are smothered with attention from grandparents and aunts and uncles. It was just today that he said "Visit Delma?" I gently told him that she is in Knoxville and that we won't see her for awhile. He has asked to play with his friends and does miss them.

We love you and miss the beautiful trees and greenery! (Can't say I miss the humidity though!!)

Hugs and kisses from Utah!!

Side note - Anne is standing on her own for a second. And she LOVES her grandpa...prefers him over anyone else...including me! Grandpa is tickled pink about it!!

And sorry... no pics. Steven took the camera back to Tennessee.

Day-cation!

Today we had a day-cation... a mini vacation for our family. We went to Chattanooga, TN and visited the Aqaurium and Chattanooga Choo Choo. It was so much fun to be together and see two of Connor's favorite things: Fish and Trains. We were celebrating Steven being done with this semester of school and gearing up for a crazy few weeks! Those in Utah... Here we come...Soon!

Sunday pics

So this is a series of pictures that I attempted to take on sunday morning. The kids looked great... But in the first photo, Connor is trying to push Annie off the couch.

Second photo - Connor escaping the camera and Annie almost falling off.

Third photo - Annie flopping over to the armrest with my help and Connor attempting to steal the camera.

And four - Connor saying "Really, I am innocent! I love my sister!" And really, he does love her... just a bit too much some days!

And yes, we do have lots of fun!! Hope you enjoy!
