
Black Mirror was one of those creepy anthology science fiction that provided audiences a new layer of dystopia. Heavily inspired The Twilight Zone, each episode takes audiences to a disturbing world that features unique technology. The series first began on Channel 4 and eventually came to Netflix on October 21st, 2016.
There are seven seasons so far, with 33 episodes in total. The last batch of episodes released on April 10th 2025. And this year we are getting even MORE episodes of Black Mirror.

Netflix announced that Black Mirror has been renewed for an eighth season this year. Black Mirror creator Charlie Booker announced that the series was coming back for an eighth season, just around the time that the series received seven Golden Globe nominations. Booker also teased that more sequel episodes like ‘USS Callister: Into Infinity’ are in the works.

So this year we are getting more episodes of Black Mirror. Just like American Horror Story and Inside No. 9, Black Mirror was credited for reviving the anthology television format. This series was modeled in the style of series like Tales of the Unexpected and Hammer House of Horror. Black Mirror is an intriguing anthology story that showcased all kinds of horror, including dystopian technology.
