Task/s: Auto-correct coordinates set to the wrong globe
Code: Available on Github
Function details: The code searches for items with the globe of coordinate location (P625) set to the wrong globe compared to located on astronomical body (P376), and corrects the coordinate globe so that it matches the located on astronomical body (P376) value. It would run daily. This was suggested by @Pigsonthewing: at Wikidata:Properties for deletion/P10628. Example edits at [1] and [2] - happy to run more. Thanks. - Support, obviously. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 21:17, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Support, this has been needed for a long time. Mike Peel, can this proposal be adjusted to also convert/remove P10628 (P10628) and P8981 (P8981), or should that be a separate process? — Huntster (t @ c) 16:10, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- @Huntster: I can create a separate version of the code to do those tasks, but let's see what happens with the deletion discussions for them first, and perhaps that would need a separate bot approval process. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 17:53, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Support Yes, let's do this. ArthurPSmith (talk) 16:46, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
