Motivation
editThis provides a weak form of sitelinks. As page content may be non-persistent, we probably needs a qualifier to indicate a permanent version. GZWDer (talk) 04:48, 31 August 2018 (UTC)
Discussion
edit- Comment @GZWDer: This is currently handled to some degree by sitelinks to redirects. Would you intend to replace those sitelinks (which require a workaround to create) with these statements? ArthurPSmith (talk) 18:23, 31 August 2018 (UTC)
- @ArthurPSmith: Sometimes they are red links (e.g. fr:Place des Carmes). Another example is en:Lupton family describes a number of people but no pages redirects to this page.--GZWDer (talk) 18:28, 31 August 2018 (UTC)
- Comment Is there any reason for not using described at URL (P973) instead of creating an entirely new property? Other than that it's a great idea though, ever since not being able to create site links to redirects it's been harder to find whether Wikipedia contains any information on the item or not. - Looks to me like this is intended to explicitly point out the material is covered in wikipedia. That is, it's actually a kind of sub- or weak interwiki, not a generic URL. Circeus (talk) 12:05, 11 September 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose per Lewis Hulbert, use P973 is good enough, feel free to add this name as alias of that. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 00:07, 2 September 2018 (UTC)
