Motivation
editThe Eu Knowledge Graph is a graph mantained by DG Connect at the European Commission. It is reusing many of the concepts in Wikidata and enriching it with more information. The Graph is hosted using a Wikibase. We would like to make the datasets more connected and therefore we would like to create these links. Also federated queries over the wikidata and the eu knowledge graph endpoint are enabled, so we would like to make this easier by adding these external links.
Discussion
edit@RShigapov: could you take a look at this? I have seen you reviewed properties before : )
- Support, an important property for making data of the European Commission more accessible --DD063520 19:09, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
- Support, very useful to make a link with EU linked open data --Madewild 10:55, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
- Support, It would be a nice property to link Wikidata and EU linked open data --DiaZork 11:36, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
- Support, looks quite interesting and useful --DrVenabili 11:39, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
- Support, in general, I am fully supporting the property for EU Knowledge Graph. But there is one "but". There was a long discussion about the properties for FactGrid (Q90405608), which is also a Wikibase instance. As a result of those discussions there are two properties now: FactGrid item ID (P8168) and FactGrid property ID (P10787). You proposed only one property for EU Knowledge Graph, and I would prefer that as well. But it seems that the community decided towards two properties per Wikibase instance. - * Support Let's call it "EU Knowledge Graph item ID", if there is a need for we can add "EU Knowledge Graph property ID" later. --Newt713 (talk) 16:36, 5 July 2022 (UTC)

- Support As per RShigapov, I think we should try to be consistent in the way we handle properties pointing to Wikibase instances. --Daniel Mietchen (talk) 10:01, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
Thank you all for your feedbacks! I think separating is a good idea! In fact in the EU Knowledge Graph we have also a Wikidata QID and and a Wikidata PID property. The separation is needed because there are different formatters. I will propose also the EU Knolwedge Graph property ID then.
@Mattflaschen:@Thierry Caro:@UWashPrincipalCataloger: can you take a look to this property? @Lymantria: this is pending since a long time. Do you know why? I saw you approved another property!

- Thank you. @DD063520: There are ~150.000 Properties in the EU-Graph who already have a link to Wikidata: Query Service. Will you create a syncing bot? Or is it better to import? --Newt713 (talk) 16:08, 29 August 2022 (UTC)
- We will write probably a bot, we already have a bot account. Will take some time though. Will try to remember to make an update here. Thank you for approving it! DD063520 (talk) 19:53, 30 August 2022 (UTC)
