Reckoning
(2019)

Terrible
This is the absolute worst. I am usually a fan of serial killer murder mysteries. I found the story terrible and the acting even worse. I only give accolades to the woman playing nurse Valerie. We've all got to pay the Bill's, right? Hopefully she will be offered future roles in which she will not be forced into dregs like this. I watch international drama and this is the worst I have ever seen.

Sweet Virginia
(2017)

Ending
I loved the ending and the music. I also liked the song in the beginning sung by the composer with a smoky bar type of voice. I loved Sam's smile and look of hope. The odd odd behavior of the killer was interesting to say the least. I often wondered what was meant to be the point of making this movie but enjoyed it just the same. The ending made the whole movie and isn't that what it's supposed to do?

The Coverup

Vigilance
I am so glad that I did not listen to the nay-sayers. This was a fact based film about police abuse of power. Personally I am a supporter of the boys in blue. However we all know about facts being tainted by higher ups who want to win to advance careers. I don't trust prosecutors who encourage planted evidence and evidence hidden to advance their personal careers , regardless of what is right Look at Steven Avery. Set up in every way maybe to avoid a hugh payout and maybe vengeance after such a long time. This film however true, seeks to show that power, can indeed be corrupted. It may or may not be factual but it shows that we must all be vigilant.

Tim and Jennifer
My daughter has always said that Tim is transgender. That never even crossed my mind. Doesn't seem so but , maybe?

Roma
(2018)

Dumb
Insipid. After reading user reviews, I believe we all agree that it is boring, useless, and should never have been made. I stopped the film and reread about it, thinking I was somehow mistaken and watching the wrong movie. I knew there was a reason I only view user reviews and not critics. Reading what other watchers saw, whether I agree or not, is what is of interest to me. Often I decide not to watch something if enough people say the same things about it. When a movie is divided into 2 totally differing camps, I will watch it and decide for myself. If I like it so be it and if not, I gave it a chance. When the artsy-fartsy group fawns over its theme as meaningful and profound, it's usually a yawner.

Acting
As we've come to expect out of India (I'm not sure if it's Indian or Bollywood or not) what acting!! Absolutely wonderful. Totally immersing and never missed a beat. Kudos to all involved!!!

Slooow
Obviously I don't have the intellect to figure out such a pithy film as Burning. But it was so dull that I just want to put it behind me and never think of it again. I kind of wish that I were the type of person to pour over films like this ad nauseam. However it is of no meaning to me and I've already forgotten it. Good riddance.

Dumbest of the dumb
The may have been the worse movie I have ever seen. Other than the gorgeous scenery, it actually got worse as it progressed. By the end of the movie I actually had my hands over my eyes. I was transfixed waiting to see if it got any worse and it did. I kept thinking, surely not, as each scene got more ridiculous than the last. The movie has been called predictable. That's the best you could say. If you want to waste your time, watch. But you've seen it many times before and better. You've been warned.

The Captive
(2014)

Terrible
I am ashamed to say I watched it , much less wrote it or started in it. Why was this movie ever made? Made next to no sense and practically laughable. Unless you are just twiddling your thumbs and staring off into space, don't bother.
