Virupaksha
(2023)

Tiring
This movie actually has a good story. But spoiled by poor acting, unwanted scenes, songs, unwanted glamour scenesand repeated dialogues.

The first 30 mins is wasted in heroine intro, love sequence, love songs etc. Clearly sai dharam tej doesn't even know the spelling of acting. The movie's script keeps deviating from the story to show hero mass buildup and fight scenes.

The cinematography is perfect, color grading is great. The last act is merely a stage drama. There's a dinosaur egg size hole in the logic of this movie particularly heroine's origin. But you won't come till that point of movie. You will get tired halfway and will stop this movie.

Devil
(2024)

What nonsense?
Total runtime of the movie is 1h 56m. In the first 1h 30m there is nothing but lusty scenes. In the last 30m i was hopeful that movie is gearing up.

But what in the actual world happened in climax? It's a complete nonsense and pointless.

I understand mysskin is the producer of this movie. But he appears in several places in the movie which is of no use. One character says mugamudi movie is nice, mysskin is a good director, seeing him poorna gets distracted and meets with accident, some random chain theft is saved by him, last but not least he does time reversal n all.

I don't understand what they try to convey in the movie overall. Vidharth is the worst possible actor to be casted for this role. Poorna lifted whole movie in her shoulder and it was delightful to watch her in every scene.

Khufiya

Web series worthy content
This movie fell short. Nothing new or amazing.

It's only a web series worthy content but made as a movie. Lags everywhere. 2nd half is just dead.

Spy, betrayal, lesbian, undercover, deaths its all just what you would have seen in a typical bollywood drama.

The best thing about this movie is wamiqa. She nails in every scene. Her dance, her acting, her beauty everything is just perfect. Tabu is being under utilized.

All other characters are just coming and going no one acted with passion, no character arc, no development in story. Logic mistakes and Loopholes are just as big size as a black hole.

Squid Game: The Challenge: One Step Closer
(2023)
Episode 8, Season 1

Civil rights investigator really?
Like i said 278 is such a selfish person. Terry took 3 risks and failed but 278 doesn't want to move. That's pure betrayal. Also misuse of the privileges. After terry is gone she asks for team play suddenly. Such a shameless selfish person.

These kind of people takes everything in the name of rights and reservation but doesn't give back anything to the community. Be it their own community or other communities.

On top of all she is a civil rights investigator. How would anyone expect she would give an honest investigation and judgement. Too bad for the country.

The next game is also interesting. 018 is such a fool. 287 gives a slipper shot to 278. But still 278 is lucky. If 278 wins im gonna file a case on the show lol. I don't know where this game is leading. Some unknown, uninterested, non-strategic person is going to win this game i believe. Just another reality show.

Squid Game: The Challenge: Friend or Foe
(2023)
Episode 7, Season 1

278 annoying
Another good episode. Selecting people for next round. Why is that asian lady getting all privileges? TJ is not my fav char but he is a good leader in that boat game. He had a strategy. I don't understand why he selects ghat asian lady 2 times in a row.

Terry 301 is my next favorite but i guess he would be eliminated at the start of next episode.

The way they started team game is good. But 278 is such an annoying selfish person. I would never want to meet such character in real life. She just stays there while terry took 3 back to back decisions. Right in front of her 077 took the risk but she just stands. Sadist person.

Squid Game: The Challenge: Goodbye
(2023)
Episode 6, Season 1

What did just happen??
This game was highly anticipated because contestants are equally going to be eliminated in this game.

Loved ggambu gang but they have to get separated now.

They tried something with 229 and 278 like sisters just like kang sae-byok and ji-yeong but it was completely annoying. The point that made the original squid game sisters emotional is one of them going to die but here they're going to go home and live the rest of the life so no feelings nothing. Moreover we already hate 229 so it doesn't matter if she wins or loses.

After rick my next favourite is 301 302 but 302 is gone. All other important characters shown from beginning as important characters are now gone.

I look up to 018 or 301 as winners. But at this point there is no interest in watching as i don't care who wins now.

Squid Game: The Challenge: Trick Or Treat
(2023)
Episode 5, Season 1

Hate 229 at this point but showed her brilliance
This show is almost boring at this point because we can predict who are strong and who are weak. But this episode in particular was a good turning point.

Yes it's a reality gane show and unfair evictions are about to happen to make the game more interesting.

That's exactly what this episode did.

1st moment someone gets advantage on next game but next moment he was eliminated. The 229 got 3 eliminations and she picked the 3 people brilliantly.

The advantage guy needs to be eliminated because he can win next round and move to final round.

I personally loved rick. I wanted him to become the winner. But this 229 eliminated him just like that. That's the height of unfair. But yea that she what makes this game interesting.

The Great Indian Suicide
(2023)

Twisted tale. But why??
This movie is loosely based on the burari murders. Like the Netflix documentary, hotstar series aakri sach, this movie is just a perspective of another director. But the question remains.. why???

Director trusted last 20 mins if the movie and built the whole story. Poor acting by hero. Hebah Patel shones in acting. So many back to back twists in the last 20 mins. In the end everyone are corrupt why would anyone deserve to live or die?

Heroine's chithapa, heroine's sister, fake baba everyone are perverts in the end heroine itself is a pervert. Everyone dies and come back like magic. When someone gives cue people dies, when someone gives next cue they are alive. At last heroine sister alone comes out alive no one knows how.

The director tries to convey a message that child abuse is a real issue which is true. But why soo many lusty scenes to convey that. It dilutes the real issue.

Vivek prasanna should be banned from acting
This was branded as a thriller movie. But actually it's an annoying movie. I had expectations for this movie like it's going to be like 'my wife's murder' 'k-13' type. That's how the movie started. In the 1st 10-15 mins they came into the movie which is great. But after that vivek prasanna character entered the movie and spoiled the whole movie scene by scene minute by minute.

His character itself is soo annoying and adding to that he keeps talking for whole movie. All nonsense speech. Adding to this daniel entered the movie. I stopped the movie at that point and started forwarding. Not worth the watch.

Vani bhojan dies but her eyes remain open for hours and hours. Bharath didn't even try to close her eyes. Later it was justified with a twist but not convincing. Her acting was good and she looks like a doll. But it's high time she needs a dubbing artist.

Talking about logic mistakes, where should i start? Who searches for disposing a body in YouTube? And the song in 1h10m of the movie? Already movie is going in dungeon and that montage song slows it more. After the big reveal movie still keeps running for 20 mins and another twist why????? How did Bharath choose this movie while he already did Kaalidas??

Aakhri Sach
(2023)

What's happening?
Waitttt.... What's happening in this series?

I thought this series is based on the burari case. But it's going as a crime mafia thriller. This series is conceived in a wrong way. The crew never mentioned based on a true story so probably they just took the case and did their own treatment. The place where it fails is they failed to explain clearly that this is completely imaginary. And should have changed things like number of people died, their age, their background everything.

Anyways this series is not engaging or interesting. Tamannah low key poor acting. She did the same reactions she did in November story.

Baby
(2023)

Realistic movie. This is the reality of the world.
This movie speaks plain truth of reality, lives and lies of a girl in a relationship and her loyalty. Whatever a guy does, a girl's mind will be wavering. They keep going for next best thing in life. For argument sake you can say they're selfish but they're very calculative. Until stress management or damage control situation comes. That's what this movie talks about.

A middle class girl falls in love with a 10th fail auto driver. Little did she know that she's going to meet better attractive and handsome rich guys which would change her life decisions.

The screenplay is very slow and is targeted for youngsters. They may like it but still it's tiring.

This movie is close to reality because it happened to me. It happened to many of my friends so i can relate. The intermission scene was excellent. Vaishnavi understood the character and acted well throughout the movie.

I think the movie should have went like she made an alternate decision and lived strong with it. I don't know why the guilty drama, suicide blah blah.

Among the movies which portray they're innocent, they're exploited, they've been cheated this movie talks the harsh reality. How much ever they cheat, they lie, even in their disastrous phase of life, girls' life always keep moving forward and better. A dialog from jiivi movie - ponungaloda vazhkai adutha adutha thalatha nokki poite irukum. Nee nambunalum nambala nalum athan unmai.

Worth the watch if you can manage the slow pace.

Oru Pakka Kathai
(2020)

Different story but poor screenplay
This is the first movie for Kalidas and Megha Aakash but released late. Also Balaji Tharaneetharan tried to do a similar screenplay as NKPK but failed drastically.

Megha Aakash gets pregnant still being a virgin. The parents are not shocked of this asexual reproduction. Only thing they want to know is she is a virgin or not. Once doctor confirms she is a virgin everyone are relieved. They are not happy because she is the first case of parthenogenesis. They are happy because she is a virgin. I don't understand which century we are living in.

Both kalidas and megha did an amateur acting. Balaji's directing skills have deteriorated. In one important reveal scene, the presentation is going on and no one talks behind the presentation. Everyone are just watching the screen, the camera focuses the ppt and people and again ppt and people. Not even a serial director does this kind of direction. The news getting viral is just showed in 2 scenes it not viral in movie itself how will it be viral to us?

You have time to kill and can waste 2 hours then watch this. Keep looking only at Megha Aakash. She is a doll.

Underrated Gem 💎
Such an underrated gem of a movie. I'm literally trying to find any fault in this movie but couldn't.

Everyone's acting is good. Preethi Asrani nailed it. I thought she would just be an eye candy in the movie. But she really acted well. 1st hospital scene where she requests for help and that hospital scene when sasi kumar says he's leaving but she can't understand. But when pugazh drags sasi kumar, her reaction was excellent. That kid sonu killed in the mortuary scene.

Dialogues were on point. The hindi family's dialogues were not translated or subtitled which is a great decision so that we can feel their pain.

Every time we had to find ourselves in that position so we can better understand the movie. How can someone even rate this movie for 1-star seriously? Got emotional in many places. Movie is about to bag some awards next year.

Seetharaam Benoy Case Number Eighteen

Dokku police
What did i just watch?

Pure amateur acting, boring screenplay, predictable scenes. Forget about twists and turns, this movie doesn't even have a screenplay. I'm very curious to see the original bounded script of this movie, if it even exists.

The hero itself has poor acting skills. Later i got to know he is some famous actor acting from childhood.

Don't even ask me about logic mistakes. There are Numerous clues, villains walking right beside him, one guy even stays inside his house for days but this dokku police guy can't find anything.

Hero just sits in 1 place, calls to a police station 2 3 times and cracks the case. Everyone he reaches out gives him a clue for free. Why can't they themselves solve this case by joining the dots.

Waste of time.

Love Today
(2022)

Neat entertainer
I watched this movie 1st day in theater. The whole crowd enjoyed the movie like crazy. Neatly written script, good acting, good character utilization, Yogi babu stands atop of everyone.

The success of this movie is the humor treatment. If you round-off and see this is a cringe subject. If it was handled seriously then people would be bored thinking it's a random couple's problem and why would we watch it? This disconnect was correctly handled.

This movie shows both sides of the issue, 1st half for men and 2nd half for women. Though the Instagram sequence which shows what girls go through is conveyed in a funny way it is a very serious concern to be addressed.

There's also a spark of conversation that this movie is misogynistic. While there are movies that degrades men like lollipop, aadai, 90ml are considered women empowerment movies, then a movie like love today can exist. Let people call it misogynistic. It's okay to have 1 movie that shows men's side.

The tone change in last 30 mins right from radhika's speech to movie end was brilliantly worked out.

One place i disagree is the extended climax where her video gets leaked. That is so inappropriate for the movie. Movie should have ended just like he trusts her. There is no need to prove that his love is best. If this was corrected this is a clean 10/10 movie.

Ariyavan
(2023)

Tired
Another movie with same script that girls are innocent victims and boys are trapping these innocent girls for s'x. Come-on guys which universe you are living in? Go check onlyfans and see how many girls are making millions. Girls from Chennai earning money in onlyfans.

Just looking at the story, making and acting. Nothing scores. The hero and heroine doesn't even know the spelling of acting.

The movie got over in 43rd minute. Then one side artist gives a lead to move the movie further and hero says the problem has started now only. After this movie goes on for some time. At 1hr movie got over again. But again a minister calls and gives the next lead. And hero goes for next duet song. Likewise movie kept on going for 1 hr 45 mins without any target.

We had to search movie inside the logic potholes.

  • A guy who r'pes and records the videos keeps his phone without password or security protection. But somehow his address is masked in food delivery app. How?

  • Hero accesses phone of villain and it shows the phone's location near a guest house. But still villain goes to hero's house to find him? Why?

  • Hero's mom and dad gets info from daughter that goons are coming to their house. They leave the house, called and alerted hero but didn't care to tell daughter until a chasing scene, fight scene got over. Villain also patiently waited for the fight to get over and calls hero. Why? How?

  • 3 girls puts a random fb live and whole world watches it. How? And cops comes in less than a minute, rescue team in less than a minute and media in 2 mins. How?

Bakasuran got released few weeks back with similar story line. The only place where this movie differs is bakasuran says girls should stay inside, this movie says girls should fight.

My best guess is Mithran R Jawahar would have directed this movie long back. But production unit waited for a good time to release. Luckily thiruchitrambalam was heartwarming and great. And bakasuran was exact opposite to this movie so the producers thought this will be the right time to release.

Question to audience. How many of you remember pollachi incident? What happened to those criminals? They're free and enjoying. The main criminal's dad has become MLA again. Do you think people remember any of this?

Tiring
Movie starts like indru netru naalai.

Proceeds like spiderman. Even scenes are copied from spiderman.

Moves like the Flash.

Suddenly alien concepts like ET.

After intermission again moves like indru netru naalai.

Uffff tiring movie with no common sense, logic, none of the comedy worked out.

I had very high hopes for this movie since its trailer release 3 years back. I don't know what happened in the production unit, the movie delayed for 3 years and then came as a colors tamil tv satellite release.

The director first needs to be clear that its going to be a comedy movie or serious movie. Whenever a scene goes serious, he dilutes it by making it a funny which is not working out at all.

The scientist guy is just annoying. He doesn't even looks appealing neither knows acting. Anyways they copied indru netru naalai so why not use the same karthik from that movie itself?

Aari acting is good. It was shot before bigg boss. Could've made a good business with his name. But director, producer and whole unit knows that they messed up a big time. Just useless.

Nimirndhu Nil
(2014)

What happened after intermission?
The movie starts well. A loyalist man faces trouble in the world. Well that's the truth of the world. I have never heard of a story where good guys won and bad guys lost. It's always evil wins.

The movie typically got over in the intermission. I don't know why another jayam ravi character came. Since the intro of that character, the movie went into Telugu masala mode. Songs for him, lame jokes, sex comedy uffff. Tiring. Why amala paul in this movie? Why that one slow song in between the movie affecting its pace?

Dialogues were spot on. 1st half was samuthrakani's movie. 2nd half was non-sense.

In that movie itself they say play one namitha song people will forget everything. That's the reality of the world. What do you think is the capacity of the issue explained in the movie? Hardly 3 days? That too if people involved are big shots. Else it is just an hour news.

I wanted to write this review after the sting operation done by Madan ravichandran on journalists. It blasted like anything on YouTube last week. Hardly stayed for 3 days. Outside of the 1M people on YouTube no one knows about it. With these kind of people in world there is nothing called needhi, nyayam, nermai.

Run Baby Run
(2023)

What crap
Where is this movie leading to?

There are so many plot holes, poor screenplay, least engaging movie ever.

At one point (cemetery scene) I don't understand where is this movie leading to.

Some random girl dying in rjb house but he's not calling cops, some random girl body found in share care and the car wala takes all the effort in the world to cremate the body but he doesn't call cops. But the smart crematorium wala called the cops. After all this rjb comes home and sleep peacefully. Suddenly radhika appears out of nowhere. The car wala guy commits suicide for the crime.that he didn't commit. He could've called cops first itself. Unending random nonsense. Movie got over in intermission but I have no clue why did it keep going for 1.5hrs more. Why? Why?? Why???

Kantara
(2022)

Highly overrated garbage
This movie was endorsed by famous movie makers mainly rajini just because he's a kannadiga. A wealthy landlord tries to get back his land which was donated to poor people by his ancestors.

The moment achyut was introduced how can someone not know he'll be the villain? Such dumb people watching this movie only likes this one. Subramaniyapuram movie literally has the same scene.

Zameen trying to dispose off people and capture village land. There are 100s of movies like this in tamil alone. Why rajini endorses this movie but not asuran which had similar story line, directed well, acted well by his own son-in-law? Scumbags like rajinikanth robs money from tamil people for his livelihood and supports his own language movies though it's a garbage. It's high time this useless rajini fans need to know what he is actually.

The landlord, police, hero, hero's dad, landlord's goon suddenly turning good and dying. Ufff I'm tired. In-between all this, the demi god comes and shouts aah ooh aah ooh for no reason.

Rishabh's acting was excellent in the last act. Nothing else about this movie.

3:33
(2021)

Decent story.. but..
Well there are lots of buts in the movie. To start with 1. Story line is very thin. It's only worth 1 hour of YouTube video and not a movie.

2. The entire movie goes in 0.5x speed. It's tiring and boring.

3. Amateur acting and movie making 4. San D acted without any makeup. Literally woke up and came to the movie 5. The ghost makeup was soo funny. They even put the ghost makeup for Rama's hips lol 6. Movie makers compromised on everything. Actors, quality of movie, location, camera, editors, technicians everything 7. You could guess entire movie scene by scene, dialog by dialog 8. San D talks for whole movie with same vibrating tone 9. The 4 priests came along with mime gopi doesn't even know the spelling of acting 10. Lots of continuity mistakes, logical mistakes

Few mistakes below: 1. San D takes bath and camera shows top angle. There is sop and shampoo on the shelf but no phone. Suddenly his phone rings and he picks up from that same shelf 2. San D friend's wife falls down. When shown from side angle there is no blood but when shown from top angle, blood is flowing on the steps 3. Shrut's 2 eyebrows are not matching. It bothered me so much. Like how come they trim her eyebrows uneven?

4. Movie name is 3:33 so they try to show the time 3:33 but they couldn't find a car with same number. They could only get 9333 number for car. But for van they somehow found 3333 lol

San D somehow convinced his own BB3 housemates reshma and saravanan to act with/without payment. GVM at last acted from the same shooting spot of paava kadhaigal.

HIT: The 2nd Case
(2022)

Doesn't disappoint
I had a different view about this movie before i started watching. Usually the sequels are disappointing that too when characters are changed and movie goes into big budget (except a few)

This movie started the same way. With romance, song, hero buildup etc. But when movie goes by it had a weightage to the story.

Some elements really worked out well. Wall scene inside clinic, whistle scene, grandma interrogation scene.

There were many logic mistakes as well. 15 years ago one lady was killed and then 4, 5 people were killed within recent 9 years time only. Why the killer took much time, if that's the case then how will he be called as a serial killer? Why would he give obituary and clinic ad in same paper same time on all years? Trying to do cost saving with buy 1 get 1 ad? With all this clue how would they come to a conclusion that the killer is doing that profession? It can be anyone misleading them.

The main negative point is no twists and turns. It's just a straight forward investigation but doesn't disappoint you.

Sliding Doors
(1998)

Interesting but....
Interesting story line. It's good to see if, if-not scenarios side by side without any advanced edits, animations, entry exits. The director just kept it simple which is powerful.

The main defect in the movie is acting. All actors are well known established actors now. Some maybe at that time. But acting wise they did not create an impact. It was just a 99 mins video we watched and not a movie. No one's acting was impactful.

During climax when John walks through Gwyneth's room, it is heard that doctor says John's mom is fine. Also there's a scene where he says bye mom. This scene is an indication that in that reality Gwyneth and John life are different. But in the other reality his mom character was never shown. So we don't know if he has a mom or not what's mom in hospital for. In movie terms, you should never introduce a character in the last act of the movie.

There are many other flaws like this throughout the movie. Just a timepass movie.

Gone Baby Gone
(2007)

Why baby why?
The movie was going on a clean 8/10 until the big reveal in the end.

Where should the kid belong? To the drunk, useless and characterless mom where the kid is going to be spoiled and turn out to be just like her mom or a place where she has a scope to become a good hearted, better person than mom? If you choose the former you might love this movie. If you choose the latter then stay away.

Not everyone gets a 2nd chance in life. That kid got. But it was ruined by this idiotic hero who thinks he is smart and making right choice or whatsoever.

Use of foul language throughout the movie to depict the locality becomes useless when in the end even the highly educated people does the same shady thing.

Escape from Pretoria
(2020)

Mediocre drama. Too many logic holes
This is a prison escape movie like Alcatraz, escape plan. But made illogically. We do not want any reason why they came in unless that's going to affect the story in anyway. So at start itself this movie got behind.

Keys with wood is just not possible. Argument closed. None of the characters are interesting. This movie goes like it's a drama. Protagonist will win anyway.

He just has 2 keys, wooden keys, and opens any and every door. Later he says he made 39 keys. When did he make it?

In a dark silent night, you can hear someone cough and give signal but not 2 people running, opening locks, opening steel jails, closing doors. Weird. Nothing more to say.
