Reminds me of the movie The Accountant.
Seems to be the guy solving problems for people who are unable to handle the situation themselves. It looks very familiar that it really looks like a TV version of the movie The Accountant. They had to wind it down a little. They didn't want an R rating or TV a PG14. I have enjoyed the first 3 episodes and hope it continues to have good writing and quality characters. I shall continue to watch and see if it stays at an above average level. I like the main character but I also like the support people. The guy he calls that is a wizard with computer stuff and the two women who find assignments for him. His lawyer is good too. And he has some interesting history too.

Burn Notice: Over the Line
(2012)
Episode 13, Season 6

CIA operating in the US is illegal
I was happy Mike took out the dastardly bad guy but he could have set it up better. The big problem for me on this episode is the CIA taking over a murder investigation on US soil. That's impossible since the CIA cannot operate in the United States. The writers could have done a better job here but these may no longer be the writers who were putting together the stories earlier in the series. Too bad. This story turned out too simple but still not believable. I hope it gets better quickly because right now, I would say they are struggling to keep this series going. Weston and his team are fun to watch but better they can't do. They are good actors, but not miracle workers.

NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Watchdog
(2021)
Episode 10, Season 18

Gibbs standing up for the dogs
I loved this episode because I feel the same way Gibbs does about dogs. Mean people need to be punished for hurting animals and Gibbs lost it in this episode. It seems that the only reviews lately are by NCIS haters and I disagree with them. Gibbs was struggling with his life over the last several episodes and went after a bully who was killing dogs. So the culprit got what he deserved and Gibbs was willing to accept whatever punishment it would cost him including his job. His team was trying to protect him against the investigator (inspector general ) who always reminds me of a mortician. He never smiles and always looks unhappy. Must hate his job. It worked out in the end though.

NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: The North Pole
(2019)
Episode 10, Season 17

Ziva, Ziva, Ziva
Ziva and Gibbs' new neighbor come together in a huge ending. Phineas is left with many questions. But my review is really about the reviewers who have not seen all the episodes before this one. This is the 17th season. Have you watched the other 16 seasons before this one? Dr you watch all the JAG episodes before you started watching NCIS? If not, you are definitely not an expert on NCIS. Go back and watch y'all the ones you missed. It really will help make into a better reviewer. Loved this episode and Ziva too. The audience is who helped to bring her back although probably not for long. Loved the Phineas character too. And loved the ending.

NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: In the Wind
(2020)
Episode 11, Season 17

Goodbye Ziva?????
Another interesting scenario where Ziva is back again. I notice other reviewers seem to have become Ziva haters even though NCIS brought her back due to viewers demands (requests). And then some reviewers stating that writing is poor and the are not happy with the scripts or the characters. My question is if you are unhappy with what NCIS is doing now, why are you still watching it? We don't need you. We have so many viewers who love the show (see Neilsen ratings), we no longer need you. Thank you. I loved the show and all the others too. This episode moves us to the end of the Ziva era although they could still bring her back along with Tony. You never know. NCIS, please keep up the work.

Reacher
(2022)

The real Reacher finally shows up on Amazon.
I have read EVERY Lee Child novel and short story on Jack Reacher at least 3 times. I love the books. Then I watched the new series "Reacher" based on The Killing Floor, his first Reacher novel. I ended up watching all 8 episodes 3 times over 1 week. I'm retired and have the time. Today, I read many of the comments from people who reviewed Reacher. I was shocked that there were several reviews of 1 or 2 out of 10. I thought this series was better than the Cruise movies and gave it an 8. I thought Ritchson was excellent as Reacher. I really like the Roscoe character. I enjoyed the Finlay character and his negative outlook as it gave a little balance to the cast. I was very happy to see Frances Neagley being brought into the series too. She was such a "bad ass" in the books and was in this series too.

Loved the fight sequences. I think with time, they will bring more "big" guys to challenge Reacher going forward which will just make it better.

The 8 part series stuck pretty close to the book and that seems rare in Hollywood. I hope that continues. I know that only Reacher and Neagley will continue on in the next series and I am really looking forward to season 2.

Without Remorse
(2021)

Without Remorse sad comparison to Clancy's novel
I watched the movie all the way through and sad to say it was a terrible story compared to Clancy's novel of the same name. John Kelly (Clark) is the only thing from the book but the entire movie had almost nothing to do with the novel. Screen writers, directors, producers have absolutely no talent compared to the great writing of Tom Clancy. This was like watching a movie about a great action drama where there was only action and no drama and no story. I thought Amazon could have done so much more. They did not. Sad.

Hawaii Five-0
(2010)

Change is good but should not be forced.
I like the show however, Katrina Law is the new girlfriend to be of McGarrett. She replaced Michelle Borth who was McGarrett's previous love interest. They could be twin sisters. The show has no imagination. Sad!!

Ecco
(2019)

This movie really starts out with a sensational bang!!!
This movie starts out with a bang and finishes with many questions. It takes a while to develop but then when you think you have figured it out, it throws in more curves. The fight scene with Michael in the blindfold against the other "Michael" in a blindfold was especially interesting. A lot of flashbacks and I think the director will continue to challenge his actors in future movies and I, for one, am looking forward to his next endeavor which may be later this year.

NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service
(2003)

Was a great show at one point but NCIS is not as good as it once was.
First and foremost: I love the show. But it has gotten to the point where it is now No Gibbs, No Show. That's not a good thing. The characters used to be much stronger. Ziva is gone. Tony is gone. Abby is gone. Shepherd is gone. Fornell is retired. Franks is gone. Only Gibbs, Ducky, and Tim are left from the "A" team of the past. I think this year 2019-2020 will be their last. I think Mark Harmon is probably tired and who could blame him. He's carrying the show now with very little help.

Bull
(2016)

Michael Weatherly vs Anthony Denozo: Love it!
I love this show and the interesting characters along with interesting story lines, so far. You know, this is a spin off (sort of) of NCIS and all the NCIS's (LA, New Orleans, and the original) were spin offs of JAG. CBS continues to hit bullseyes. Who knows what new spinoff will come next, but I really like BULL and Weatherly. He is cocky. So was Denozo. Hope it is a keeper.

MacGyver
(2016)

Good remake overall
It is similar to the original but other than MacGyver, the rest of the characters seem to be way over the top. His buddy who tries to save him and thinks with his fists instead of his head (reminds me of "Danny" in the new Hawaii Five O). And having the little person as the boss does not seem feasible although I have seen this actress in other roles on other TV shows. I liked her better in the other shows (Boston Legal) than in MacGyver. I will give this show a chance because I like the main character. I hope the supporting actors do not bring the show down.

Magnum P.I.
(2018)

Disappointed.
The new Magnum 2018 is a major drop off from the original. The new Magnum is a joke and the new Higgins just does not work. Where are the great writers of the 90's? Maybe it's the actors, but I generally look to the stories first. The stories so far, are very weak and the actors cannot save this show unless the writing improves.

The Babe
(1992)

Story of Babe Ruth with John Goodman playing the Babe.
I watched this movie back when it first came out and I did not write anything then. I watched it again today and it was not a very good story. Although they put in a few facts, the story line was ridiculous. John Goodman is a fine actor but he was twice the weight of Ruth during his prime. The Babe during the first 10 years of his career was 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighed ONLY 215 pounds. He was big but still lean compared to what Goodman portrayed. Ruth never hit and infield pop fly that went for a home run. Ruth was a very good pitcher for the Red Sox from 1915-1919 he won 89 games pitching and 3 world series games. Although he was controversial in his manner, he still loved kids. After all, he was one himself. Ruth was a great athlete but not manager / leader material. In the movie, they made Ruth look very awkward when swinging the bat. He was a natural athlete yet they made him look funny. Maybe Goodman never played baseball or he was right handed. He looked uncoordinated when swinging the bat. Ruth was very well coordinated and smooth when hitting. I will leave it here. Thank you.

Shooter
(2016)

Bob Lee Swagger disappointment
This series is a disappointment as far as our Bob Lee Swagger character goes. Bob Lee in Stephen Hunter books and the original movie Shooter based on Point of Impact, is one tough dude. He doesn't lose fights. In fact, when he fights, it's over quickly and the other person is destroyed. So, why have the fights on this show been so ridiculous so far? They have been almost dead even each time and that is not our Bob Lee. This series Shooter has taken way too many liberties with Bob Lee Swagger and I am very disappointed at this point. If this does not improve, I will move on to some other new series and hope a new movie comes out soon, like the 47th Samarai, etc.

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
(1967)

One of Poitier's best movies. And Hepburn and Tracy too.
Although this movie seems dated today, in 1967 it was ahead of its time. I am sure in parts of our country, it was black balled. But, it was sending a message of reality. Color has no barriers with the right couple. Only the narrow minded would have a problem with these two people. He's older and wiser than her but she has no idea that there would be any problems. Some people made comments that she was dumb but I think she was very open minded and had zero built in prejudices to start with. Life is much easier once you eliminate the negatives and her character saw no negatives at all with their marriage plans. It has become more common today and that is good. This movie was way ahead of the norm.

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back
(2016)

Jack Reacher is back for another adventure
Never Go Back does not really follow the the book written by Lee Childs but it does cover the main points and main characters except for the last 2 bad guys in the book. It moves fairly fast. I still have a little problem with Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher. Reacher is 6'5" and 250 lbs. He was probably bigger that Tom Cruise by the time he was in 3rd grade. But once I get past that, it was pretty good. Good action, and Reacher can put bad guys in the hospital easily and very quickly, which he does often. And he always succeeds where others fail. I was thinking there would be more of a relationship with Major Turner but they kept their relationship strictly business, which also did not follow the book. Hollywood does that a lot.

I liked the movie and hope he will do another.
