The Wheel of Time
(2021)

Storytelling at its finest
The Wheel of Time has everything for everyone to enjoy. Its exactly the kind of Sci Fi that makes me excited about the creation of worlds. Excellent performances and Casting. The Characters are rich and full of feeling capturing me into their quest.

The story and plot are unique, original and unpredictable keeping me captivated and on the edge of my seat. I'm so glad there is a second season, I'm watching Season 1 again so I can have a seamless experience since it has been so long since I watched it and it still does not disappoint.

A world where Women are the most powerful makes sense to me. A world where these powerful Women are closely protected and served and are free to hone their skills and become the best they can possibly be is my kind of Fantasy.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story
(2023)

Keeps Getting Better and Better
The first season of Bridgerton was a breakout hit that I felt could never be topped. Reason after reason piled up to justify me not liking Season 2 as much as Season 1...but then I did.

The emotions, the costumes, the storytelling, the cinematography, the performances, each Season continue to deliver that first time success standard. It took me a while to get to Queen Charlotte, but when I finally did...the tears, the joy, the beauty and the excellent production shines through. This Season we are blessed with a bit of African Royalty and I'm all here for it. I love it! Keep on doing what you are doing Shondaland because it is clearly working.

Harry & Meghan
(2022)

The Art of Love, Great Documentary
I can feel their honesty, humility, pains and sorrow. It is really beyond me how anyone cannot feel the deep love radiating from these two people every time you see them. Every photo, every unauthorized tv series or movie...I love them even more. It has nothing to do with their celebrity. I can feel their genuine honesty and appreciate their transparency and sympathize with their heartbreaking heartwarming story. It's good to hear from them directly. Their wisdom in telling their own story instead of being victims of soo many misrepresentations is profound. I don't know them, of course, however their authenticity radiates through the screen. Harry and Meghan, I pray that those who love you creates a shield of armor against all of the hate and negativity. This isn't about whether I agree that there should be a British Monarchy, its not about Meghan identifying (or not) with her Blackness...its about two people in Love...that's it. Now a beautiful family of 4. I wish you every happiness and peace of mind.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
(2022)

Extremely Moving
The tone and feel of Ryan Coogler's Marvel Character THE BLACK PANTHER is a direct reflection of the movement of African Peoples around the world. It's different. This difference is highly embraced by the fans of this series as the world of Wakanda is the stuff that Black folk's dreams are made of. It's what we feel we truly are inside. It's our unique Sci Fi Fantasy and Ryan never disappoints. WAKANDA FOREVER makes us feel the loss of Chadwick Boseman at the same time filling the audience and fans up with rich images, exciting plot twists and blended culture to ease the pain. Letitia Wright gives a stellar performance! The introduction of another powerful ancient world is icing on the cake! Bravo!

Sidney
(2022)

What a Beautiful Life
I gave this film a 10 not just because Sidney Poitier was such a powerful light in his life, but because of the wonderful storytelling of his life. I found myself smiling for most of the duration of the film. The images and commentary from the people who knew him best are extraordinary. The addition of some private home movies is an added plus. The film is an honorable memorial for an honorable man. Not sure this world will produce another like him. Thank you for telling his phenomenal story. We did not forget about him. I am inspired by his life and the film brought back memories of my childhood movie going experiences and how they made me fee. Awesome job.

Pennyworth
(2019)

Jack Bannon is Brilliant
I find myself more interested in Alfred's story than I've ever been interested in Batman. Jack Bannon and the supporting cast are so entertaining to watch. I'm a new fan. And just to think that 31 y.o. Baby face and 6 foot frame has a voice that has matured well beyond his age. You can just see older Batman's Alfred in every word he speaks and his mannerisms are masterful. What a magical winning casting decision. I don't even know if superhero shows win awards much, but this one truly deserves it. I know it can't last too many more seasons, as that youthful face will take real time years to become Batman's Alfred even with the magic of special effects makeup. Well Done! This is exactly what I look for in my entertainment.

Sinbad
(2012)

Refreshing and Exciting
I can always be sure of a well balanced and diverse cast when the IMDb user reviews are in the mid to low ratings. This depiction of Sinbad is beautiful. I loved watching the exciting cultures and fictitious worlds, characters and costumes completely in tune with our diverse world. After All Sinbad is a world traveler so it's completely appropriate.

The community that Sinbad's crew created is the jewel in the crown of this series.

Beautiful Multiculturalism...more realistic creating a believable fantasy which is all inclusive.

In addition, the costumes, direction, acting and scenery/ locations are icing on the cake! Well done!

House of the Dragon
(2022)

I feel nothing
...boring and disgusting in that order. I endured the violence of the fist series because I was invested in the compassionate characters. 34 min in and I'm forcing myself to find some redeeming characteristic to keep watching....little or no character development nor location/atmosphere/environment development...simple lighting that does little for set design or costumes...no flair no flavor.

No interesting or handsome young men with strong onscreen presence (or women for that matter) luring me to keep watching although Steve Toussaint (Lord Corlys) is the only reason I watched in the first place. Flat performances...just pales in comparison to the first series.

The Matrix Resurrections
(2021)

Sleeper 😴
No need to alert for spoilers cause we've already seen it all before. I kept waiting for the deep part to begin. Then it was over. Sooo much dialog saying nothing trying to sound prolific. A simple love story with no real depth or relevance with a cliche ending about "sheeple".

Horrible out of touch writing. Children might like it...maybe not, cartoons have more complex and dynamic storylines. Totally riding on the coat tails of the success of Matrix the original...all the rest seem plagiarized...especially this one.

The 100
(2014)

I really tried to like this series
I wanted to like this series but once Black Men started getting urinated on, tortured, murdered and jailed (when other non black characters were walking free and defended for perpetrating far more heinous crimes) both black Women that aren't extras have severe far from benevolent characters...I just couldn't take it anymore. Then I looked up the Writers, Casting Directors and producers and the future with no lovable Black Women and Black Men portrayed as threats and monsters started to make more sense.

Beecham House
(2019)

I loved it
I'm fascinated by that period in India's history...pre colonial India, although we didn't see much of it, was rich and festive. The story is just as rich as the costume and set design. I was dazzled. Can't believe it ends like that!

Black Panther
(2018)

Refreshing Journey
The non traditional Marvel Fan got an eyeful of beauty, style and culture as the backdrop to a long anticipated Superhero's story who not until now got to see the big screen. For the traditional Marvel Fan, I'm sure there wasn't enough fighting, crashing, noise and conflict going on to satisfy today's adrenaline addiction but if they could allow themselves to shift, they would realize what in fact they are experiencing isn't just a movie, but a whole culture that is foreign to a lot of us in America. The calmness of the characters, the steely keenness of their strategy and cool collected demeanor are all new. If you can appreciate that, you can appreciate every aspect of this film as a work of Art and something that young and old everywhere will remember for generations like the early days of Superman. Black Panther isn't just a Superhero Action Film, it is the beginning of the mythology of a Legend.
