Speak No Evil
(2022)

Arghhh
Frustrated!

Good movie? Yeah, kind of.

Horror? Definitely not.

Slow burn, 100% yes.

Predictable at some points, this movie left me feeling frustrated and pissed off towards the end.

Worth watching? Well I procrastinated on this movie for a long time, till I had nothing better to do or watch and was in the mood for something dark. It's a good tense watch, and no regrets, but I feel this movie was hyped up better than it was meant to be.

On a good note, the score and acting was both pretty good, considering the majority of the movie revolves around two families. Can't argue with that. But the ending... seriously??!

Passable? Yeah, probably.

They/Them
(2022)

Meh...
I was so hyped to see this... but it was mediocre, full of clichés, and totally predictable. Another Blumhouse Production disappointment. Worth a watch if you've got time to kill, but not as good as it could have been.

Jurassic World Dominion
(2022)

Meh
Wasted money on Gold Class tickets to see this at the cinema.

Do yourself a favour and just wait for it to come out on Digital or a streaming service.

Dashcam
(2021)

Why?
Oh Blumhouse... why did you put your money and name to this?? What was the point? Would give an extra star if Annie died. Absolute trash and no point whatsoever.

The Rental
(2020)

Tense & uncomfortable... but definitely not scary
Whilst this is a decent effort for a directional debut with a constant feeling of tension and uncomfortability, the R18+ rating and horror genre classification seems misplaced.

There's a real longing for a decent new horror film, and this isn't it.

If you've seen every other horror film and have nothing better to do with time to kill, then give this film a watch... but if you don't get a chance to watch it, you're not really missing anything great.
