  • Transformers One tells the story of the origins of Optimus Prime & Megatron, when they were best friends & before they became bitter enemies. At that time, they were called Orion Pax(Chris Hemsworth) & D-16(Brian Tyree Henry), respectively. Orion & D were as close as brothers & forever changed Cybertron's future.

Transformers One is a mind-blowing film. Director Josh Cooley has given us a movie that's hilarious, action-packed & resonates with you emotionally. The action set pieces are phenomenal. The humor will make you laugh raucously. The animation is breathtaking. The 3D is duck-worthy. The vocal performances are the highlight of the film. Chris Hemsworth is spectacular as Orion Pax. Brian Tyree Henry is awe-inspiring as D-16. Scarlett Johansson is outstanding as Elita -1. Keegan-Michael Key is hysterical as B-127. Steve Buscemi is hilarious as Starscream. Laurence Fishburne is perfect as Alpha Trion. Jon Hamm is fantastic as Sentinel Prime. The supporting cast is impressive. Transformers One is a must watch for fans of this star-studded cast & the titular characters. It's better than all the live-action Transformers movies. Watch it on the big screen & transform your ordinary day, into the best one!
  • Never Let Go tells the story of a mother(Halle Berry) & her sons, Samuel(Anthony B. Jenkins) & Nolan(Percy Daggs IV). Samuel, Nolan & their Momma have been tormented by an evil entity for years. When one of the boys begin to question if this sinister presence is real, their safety & their surroundings are filled with questions & hesitation.

Never Let Go is an awesome film. Director Alexandre Aja has given us another unforgettable movie, after Horns(2013) & Crawl(2019). The suspense builds up perfectly but, the first half of the film is quite slow. However, the second half makes up for it. It's tense & you'll be on the edge of your seat throughout, because you just can't predict what's coming next. The cinematography by Maxime Alexandre masterfully captures the growing sense of dread. Halle Berry is phenomenal as Momma. Anthony B. Jenkins is amazing as Samuel. Percy Daggs IV is spectacular as Nolan. The supporting cast is brilliant. Never Let Go is a must watch for fans of slow burn horror movies & Halle Berry. Watch it & expect a very different kind of horror film that doesn't rely on clichés.

Agatha All Along is a spin-off of WandaVision(2021). Agatha Harkness(Kathryn Hahn) gets her freedom back, thanks to a teenager's(Joe Locke) help. After listening to his request, Agatha goes on a quest to the Witches' Road to regain her powers.

Agatha All Along is another addition to the endless Marvel Cinematic Universe(MCU) homework we've had to do, to understand this vast Multiverse Saga & to get all the references across its various movies & TV shows. Though the new logline claims that you don't have to watch every Disney+ Marvel show to understand the movies, this couldn't be further from the truth. In the first two episodes, there is literally just one action set piece. It's good but, it's definitely not enough to categorize this show under the action genre. The visual effects are awesome. The major problem with this show is, it didn't have to be made in the first place. Agatha could have easily turned up in the upcoming Vision series or the rumored Scarlet Witch film. We really don't want to watch nine 40 minute long episodes on a C-list character, who doesn't even have her own comic book. The performances are the best part. Kathryn Hahn is spectacular as Agatha Harkness. Joe Locke is brilliant as the Teen. Sasheer Zamata is impressive as Jennifer Kale. Ali Ahn is effective as Alice Wu-Gulliver. Patti LuPone is superb as Lilia Calderu. Debra Jo Rupp is hysterical as Mrs. Hart. Aubrey Plaza is the star of the show, as Rio Vidal. Plaza steals the show in every scene she's in & gives us another unforgettable performance, after memorable performances in Parks and Recreation(2009-2015), The To Do List(2013) & The White Lotus(2021-), just to name a few. I was super annoyed that Aubrey Plaza's character wasn't in the second episode. Maybe the series will improve as more episodes release weekly but, as of now, it is quite dragging. Also, the fact of the matter is that, Agatha All Along didn't have to be made in the first place. Either way, I will watch the show in its entirety as part of my MCU homework & because I'm a die-hard fan of the MCU. If you are too then, definitely tune in.
  • Speak No Evil tells the story of Louise Dalton(Mackenzie Davis), her husband Ben Dalton(Scott McNairy) & her daughter Agnes Dalton(Alix West Lefler). Louise & Ben get invited to spend the weekend at a farmhouse on the countryside, by a family they met while vacationing in Italy, namely Paddy(James McAvoy) his wife Ciara(Aisling Franciosi) & son Ant(Dan Hough). As the weekend goes on, Louise & her family discover that Paddy & his family have a sinister side to them.

Speak No Evil is a jaw-droppingly perfect film. Writer-director James Watkins has given us a movie that honors the 2022 Danish film of the same name, while putting his own spin on it. The suspense builds up, at the perfect pace. The tense atmosphere has been flawlessly maintained throughout. Though this movie is not necessarily 'jump out of your skin' scary, it is one of the best psychological thrillers of all time. The twist is mind-blowing. The cinematography by Tim Maurice-Jones is gorgeous. James McAvoy is the star of the show, as Paddy. McAvoy steals the show in every scene he's in & gives us a deliciously layered performance as his complex character. James McAvoy should have been nominated for an Oscar for Split(2016) & is one of the most underrated actors of his generation. Mackenzie Davis is spectacular as Louise Dalton. Scott McNairy is brilliant as Ben Dalton. Alix West Lefler is outstanding as Agnes Dalton. Dan Hough is awe-inspiring as Ant. Speak No Evil is a must watch for fans of psychological thrillers & James McAvoy. Watch it on the big screen & I promise you'll be on the edge of your seat throughout!
  • Beetlejuice Beetlejuice continues with the story of Beetlejuice(Michael Keaton), 36 years after the events of Beetlejuice(1988). After a tragedy in the family, Lydia Deetz(Winona Ryder), her stepmother Delia Deetz(Catherine O'Hara) & her daughter Astrid Deetz(Jenna Ortega), return to their home in Winter River. Still traumatized by her encounter with Beetlejuice several years earlier, Lydia's life becomes chaotic, when Astrid unwittingly opens the door to the Afterlife.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is a brilliant film. Director Tim Burton has given us a movie that sees him return to top form, after the disappointment that was Dumbo(2019). The set pieces are immersive & an absolute treat for the eyes, especially in IMAX. The fact that mostly practical effects were used to create this fantastical world, is phenomenal. The comedy will make you guffaw uncontrollably. The best part of this legacy sequel is that Michael Keaton's titular character has more screen-time, this time around. The new additions to the supporting cast are fantastic & fit perfectly into Tim Burton's wacky & macabre world. Michael Keaton is spectacular as Beetlejuice. Keaton lets loose in all the best ways & gives us a performance that outshines his first portrayal of this iconic character. Winona Ryder is awe-inspiring as Lydia Deetz. Ryder has effortlessly portrayed how much her character has grown in the gap of 36 years, between this film & its predecessor. Catherine O'Hara is mind-blowing as Delia Deetz. O'Hara continues to strike gold in each & every performance of hers. Jenna Ortega is fantastic as Astrid Deetz. Ortega gives us a wonderfully layered portrayal of her complicated character, after a slightly repetitive performance in Wednesday(2022-). Justin Theroux is hysterical as Rory. Willem Dafoe is the star of the show, as Wolf Jackson. Dafoe delivers a scene-stealing performance as his delightfully quirky character. Monica Bellucci is amazing as Delores. Arthur Conti is great as Jeremy. The supporting cast is memorable. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is a must watch for Tim Burton fans & fans of the original. This movie is better than Beetlejuice(1988), by upping the ante & improving upon it, wherever it needed to be improved. Go watch it on the big screen & have an absolutely joyous time!
  • Strange Darling tells the story of a woman(Willa Fitzgerald) & man(Kyle Gallner), who spend the night together. However, something is amiss when their one-night stand spirals out of control & turns into a serial killer's brutal murdering rampage.

Strange Darling is a mind-blowing film. Writer-director JT Mollner has given us one of the best thrillers of all time, that is destined to become a cult classic, a la Psycho(1960). The suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. The non-linear structure of the movie, maximizes the anticipation & ratchets up the tension & thrills. The twists & turns will leave you gobsmacked! The cinematography by first-time cinematographer & full-time actor Giovanni Ribisi, is brilliant. The performances are the highlight of the film. Willa Fitzgerald is awe-inspiring as The Lady. Fitzgerald has got her breakout role, after her unforgettable supporting role in The Fall of the House of Usher(2023). Kyle Gallner is spectacular as The Demon. Gallner keeps going from strength to strength as an actor, with this movie & his flawless performance in Smile(2022). Willa Fitzgerald & Kyle Gallner carry the film with their phenomenal acting abilities & you just can't take your eyes off them, every second they're onscreen. The supporting cast is outstanding. Strange Darling is a must watch for thriller fans & fans of Willa Fitzgerald & Kyle Gallner. Please watch it on the big screen for maximum enjoyment & pulse-pounding entertainment!

The Crow is based on the comic book of the same name by James O'Barr. It's also a reboot of the 1994 movie of the same name. Eric(Bill Skarsgard) & Shelly(FKA Twigs) fall in love with each other. However, they get brutally murdered. Eric can still save Shelly however, he must put himself on the line. Eric transports himself between the living world and the afterlife, while avenging Shelly and his murders.

The Crow is a good enough film. Director Rupert Sanders has given us a movie that doesn't follow the 1994 cult classic frame by frame but, puts its own spin on the story. The action set pieces are great. However, the differences between the original film & this reboot, makes The Crow(1994) infinitely better. The characters are more heartwarming & you truly feel for them in the original. The fact that legendary actor Brandon Lee was shot & tragically died while filming added an extra layer of poignancy to it. The reboot portrays Eric & Shelly as morally gray characters, right from the get-go. So, though you feel sorry for them, the impact is not as much as the original movie. At the end of the day, this reboot was completely unnecessary. That's why it has received extremely negative reviews from the audience and critics alike. Bill Skarsgard is awesome as Eric. FKA Twigs is superb as Shelly. Danny Huston is effective as Vincent Roeg. The supporting cast is impressive. The Crow is definitely not half as amazing as The Crow(1994), which doesn't make it a must watch. However, if you find yourself with time to kill, maybe you can check it out someday.
  • Afraid tells the story of Curtis(John Cho), his wife Meredith(Katherine Waterston), daughter Iris(Lukita Maxwell) & sons Preston(Wyatt Lindner) & Cal(Isaac Bae). Curtis & his family are handpicked to test a new home AI system, a digital assistant named AIA. AIA learns intimate details about each member of the family & begins to preemptively guess their needs. AIA will do anything it takes to make sure nothing & no one, does anything bad to her family.

Afraid is an awe-inspiring film. Writer-director Chris Weitz has given us a movie that masterfully builds up the suspense & mystery about this extremely advanced AI system, while subtly telling us about the advantages & pitfalls of using AI. Though the movie might not be very scary, I don't think that was the point. The ending is mind-blowing. I think this film has been unfairly labelled as an outright horror movie, when that's clearly not the case. When it comes to the 'AI gone rogue' genre, Afraid is so much better than M3GAN(2022). John Cho is spectacular as Curtis. Katherine Waterston is awesome as Meredith. Havana Rose Liu is phenomenal as Melody & the voice of AIA. Lukita Maxwell is brilliant as Iris. Wyatt Lindner is amazing as Preston. Isaac Bae is perfect as Cal. The supporting cast is unforgettable. Afraid is a must watch for fans of well-made thrillers & John Cho fans. Watch it on the big screen & the next time you use Alexa, Siri or your Google Assistant, you'll definitely think twice!

Beetlejuice tells the story of Adam(Alec Baldwin) & Barbara(Geena Davis), who recently lost their lives. An insufferable family namely, Charles(Jeffrey Jones), his wife Delia(Catherine O'Hara) & daughter Lydia(Winona Ryder), move into Adam & Barbara's former home. Now, they enlist the help of a malevolent ghost named Betelgeuse(Michael Keaton), to use any means necessary to drive the family out.

Beetlejuice is a good film. Director Tim Burton brings his signature macabre flair to this movie. However, it takes a while to get going & the titular character, who is by far the most entertaining & always elicits chuckles from the audience, is barely in the film. The stop motion set pieces are phenomenal. The dance sequence set to the song Day-O by Harry Belafonte, is iconic & is an absolute delight to watch. Alec Baldwin is great as Adam. Geena Davis is brilliant as Barbara. Michael Keaton is mind-blowing as Betelgeuse. It's a shame that Keaton's legendary character didn't get more screen-time. Winona Ryder is spectacular as Lydia. Catherine O'Hara is amazing as Delia. Jeffrey Jones is impressive as Charles. The supporting cast is perfect. Beetlejuice is a must watch for Michael Keaton & Tim Burton fans. Looking forward to watching Beetlejuice Beetlejuice(2024) on the big screen.
  • Alien: Romulus is set between the events of Alien(1979) & Aliens(1986). While thoroughly searching a run-down space station, space colonists Rain(Cailee Spaeny), Andy(David Jonsson), Tyler(Archie Renaux), Kay(Isabela Merced), Bjorn(Spike Fearn) & Navarro(Aileen Wu) face off against a malevolent & horrifying extraterrestrial monster.

Alien: Romulus is an awe-inspiring film. Director Fede Alvarez has given us another masterpiece after Don't Breathe(2016). The action set pieces are mind-blowing & are even more immersive in IMAX. The tense atmosphere has been expertly maintained throughout & there are one or two well executed jump scares. The blood & gore amp up the shock value & are right in line with the other movies in the Alien franchise. The fact that practical effects & models were used for the titular creatures is phenomenal, in this day & age of excessive usage of CGI. Cailee Spaeny is spectacular as Rain. Spaeny is shaping up to be one of the most versatile actresses in Hollywood, with completely different roles in this film, Priscilla(2023) & Civil War(2024), just to name a few. David Jonsson is brilliant as Andy. Archie Renaux is amazing as Tyler. Isabela Merced is fantastic as Kay. Spike Fearn is good as Bjorn. Aileen Wu is superb as Navarro. Alien: Romulus is a must watch for fans of the Alien franchise. It matches up to the original & falls just slightly short of Aliens(1986). Watch it & have a pulse-pounding good time!
  • Blink Twice tells the story of Frida(Naomi Ackie). Tech billionaire Slater King(Channing Tatum) meets Frida who is a waitress, at his fundraiser event. Slater invites her & her friend Jess(Alia Shawkat), to join him & his group of friends, on a fun vacation on his private island. As bizarre events unfold, Frida begins to question her sanity.

Blink Twice is a mind-blowing film. Director Zoe Kravitz has knocked it out of the park, with her directorial debut. The fact that the script of the movie that Kravitz co-wrote with ET Feigenbaum, is completely original is really commendable. The cinematography by Adam Newport-Berra is gorgeous. The suspense is top-notch & the film's slow-burn nature keeps building & building to a thrilling & explosive final act. The ending for me, was a bit of an anti-climax. Naomi Ackie is awe-inspiring as Frida. Ackie keeps growing from strength to strength in all her performances, after The End of the F***ing World(2017-2019) & Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody(2022), just to name a few. Channing Tatum is spectacular as Slater King. Tatum plays against type & absolutely nails it! Alia Shawkat is brilliant as Jess. Christian Slater is amazing as Vic. Simon Rex is great as Cody. Adria Arjona is awe-inspiring as Sarah. Arjona gives us another phenomenal performance, after her star-making turn in Hit Man(2023). Haley Joel Osment is brilliant as Tom. Liz Caribel, Levon Hawke, Trew Mullen, Geena Davis & Kyle MacLachlan are unforgettable as Camilla, Lucas, Heather, Stacy & Rich, respectively. Blink Twice is a must watch for fans of well-made thrillers & fans of Zoe Kravitz, Naomi Ackie, Channing Tatum & Adria Arjona. Watch it & I promise you that you definitely won't feel like blinking even once, throughout the runtime of the film!
  • Harold and the Purple Crayon is based on the book of the same name by Crockett Johnson. Inside his book, Harold(Zachary Levi) loves adventure and can make anything come to life, just by drawing it with his magical purple crayon. When he grows up, Harold draws a door to the real world. Harold realizes that he has much to learn about life.

Harold and the Purple Crayon is a good film. Director Carlos Saldanha has given us a fun, heartwarming & family-friendly movie, just like the Ice Age & Rio franchises. However, those franchises are far superior. This film is mainly aimed at kids & though adults will be moderately entertained, it isn't enough to hold our attention and interest, even through its short runtime. The animation is gorgeous. The visual effects are brilliant. Zachary Levi is perfect as Harold. However, Levi has been typecast ever since he played Shazam in Shazam!(2019) & Shazam! Fury of the Gods(2023). Zachary Levi's performance as Harold is exactly like his portrayal of the DC superhero. Lil Rel Howery is spectacular as Moose. Benjamin Bottani is awesome as Mel. Zooey Deschanel is fantastic as Terry. Tanya Reynolds is outstanding as Porcupine. Jemaine Clement is superb as Gary. The supporting cast is impressive. Harold and the Purple Crayon is not a must watch. However, it's worth a watch with your tiny tots and I guarantee you that they'll have a whale of a time!
  • Borderlands is based on the video game series of the same name. It tells the story about a group of misfits who join forces to protect a girl, who might have unlimited power.

Borderlands is an above average film. Director Eli Roth has given us a movie that's unintentionally hilarious, overall very entertaining but, is marred by a nonsensical story, dialogues & some very annoying characters. The action set pieces are good enough. The visual effects are passable. As someone who hasn't played the Borderlands video game, I didn't know what to expect. But, it didn't surpass my already low expectations. Cate Blanchett is brilliant as Lilith. Kevin Hart is awesome as Roland. Edgar Ramirez's talents are absolutely wasted, in his performance as Atlas. Jamie Lee Curtis is spectacular as Tannis. Ariana Greenblatt's performance as Tiny Tina is excruciating. I don't know if her character was written to be so irritating. Florian Munteanu gives us a bizarre performance, as Krieg. Jack Black's vocal performance as Claptrap is the most insufferable part of the film. Borderlands is not worth a watch, either for fans of the video games or casual viewers. It's just a hodgepodge of better movie franchises and doesn't even come close to matching the quality of any of them. Watch it with your friends, if you want to make fun of how bad it turned out to be, despite the star studded cast!
  • It Ends with Us is based on the novel of the same name, by Colleen Hoover. Lily Bloom(Blake Lively) gets through her traumatic childhood & starts a new life. She meets a neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid(Justin Baldoni) & sparks fly. However, Lily realizes that there are some aspects of Ryle that make her think about her parents' relationship.

It Ends with Us is a phenomenal film. Director & actor Justin Baldoni pulls the perfect double duty & has given us a movie that's romantic, emotional, charming & also captures the dark elements of Colleen Hoover's source material, perfectly. There are several scenes that will make you tear up or shed a tear or two. The performances are the highlight of the film. Blake Lively is the star of the show, as Lily Bloom. Lively steals the show in every scene she's in, with her awe-inspiring performance. Justin Baldoni is brilliant as Ryle Kincaid. Jenny Slate is fantastic as Allysa. Hassan Minhaj is good as Marshall. Brandon Sklenar is spectacular as Atlas Corrigan. Isabela Ferrer & Alex Neustaedter are amazing as Young Lily Bloom & Young Atlas Corrigan, respectively. The supporting cast is impressive. It Ends with Us is a must watch for fans of romantic dramas. It will break your heart & mend it by the end so, it's a rollercoaster ride of emotions that's definitely worth taking.
  • Trap tells the story of Cooper(Josh Hartnett) & his daughter Riley(Ariel Donoghue). Cooper & Riley attend the concert of famous singer, Lady Raven(Saleka Night Shyamalan). Soon, they realize that they are in the midst of a malevolent event.

Trap is an awe-inspiring film. Writer-director M. Night Shyamalan has given us a movie that's unique, thrilling, edge of the seat and will leave you constantly guessing as to what's going to happen next. The twists and turns are unexpected, just like some of Shyamalan's best films like The Sixth Sense(1999) & Split(2016), to name a few. All the concert set pieces have been captured masterfully, by cinematographer Sayombhu Mukdeeprom. Josh Hartnett is the star of the show, as Cooper. Hartnett's subtle performance, captures a wide array of emotions expertly. Josh Hartnett's performance is the highlight of the movie. Ariel Donoghue is fantastic as Riley. Saleka Night Shyamalan is phenomenal as Lady Raven. What's even more impressive is that Shyamalan wrote and performed her own songs. Alison Pill is outstanding as Rachel. The supporting cast is brilliant. Trap is a must watch for pretty much everyone, especially on the big screen. Didn't deserve the mixed reviews from the critics. According to me, it's M. Night Shyamalan's third best film after The Sixth Sense(1999) & Split(2016) & surpasses his previous three directorial efforts namely, Knock at the Cabin(2023), Old(2021) & Glass(2019). Watch it as soon as possible!
  • Deadpool & Wolverine continues with the adventures of Wade Wilson/Deadpool(Ryan Reynolds), after the events of Deadpool(2016) & Deadpool 2(2018). Logan/Wolverine(Hugh Jackman) wants nothing to do with anyone, when he meets Deadpool. They join forces to vanquish a powerful enemy.

Deadpool & Wolverine is a mind-blowing film. Director Shawn Levy has given us a movie that builds upon the best parts of the Deadpool franchise & amplifies it because the titular characters are now in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The comedy will make you guffaw uncontrollably. Don't worry though. There's definitely a heartwarming & emotional core at its center. The action set pieces are awe-inspiring. The visual effects are phenomenal. The 3D is eye-popping & becomes even more immersive in IMAX. The cameos are jaw-dropping! Ryan Reynolds is spectacular as Wade Wilson/Deadpool. Reynolds should play Deadpool forever. Hugh Jackman is outstanding as Logan/Wolverine. It's an absolute delight to see Jackman finally wear the comic book accurate Wolverine costume, after 24 years playing the iconic character. Ryan Reynolds & Hugh Jackman share effortless camaraderie & exchange the best banter, in all their scenes together. Emma Corrin is fantastic as Cassandra Nova. Matthew Macfadyen is brilliant as Mr. Paradox. The supporting cast is excellent. Deadpool & Wolverine is a must watch for Marvel Cinematic Universe fans & fans of the titular characters. Watch it on the biggest screen possible & I promise you will be laughing, cheering & having the best time you could possibly have! Can't wait for the next chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
  • Immaculate tells the story of Cecilia(Sydney Sweeney). Cecilia is very religious & joins a reputed convent in Italy. However, Cecilia discovers that her new home has some malevolent secrets.

Immaculate is a brilliant film. Director Michael Mohan has given us a movie that is eerie, has two or three extremely well executed jump scares & maintains a tense atmosphere throughout. The climax of the film is jaw-dropping. There are of course the cliched horror movie tropes but, that's commonplace within this genre, with a few exceptions. Sydney Sweeney is the star of the show, as Sister Cecilia. Sweeney's mind-blowing performance is the highlight of the film. Alvaro Morte is spectacular as Father Sal Tedeschi. Benedetta Porcaroli is outstanding as Sister Gwen. Giulia Heathfield Di Renzi is phenomenal as Sister Isabelle. The supporting cast is excellent. Immaculate is a must watch for fans of horror movies & Sydney Sweeney. Though it has a lot of similarities with The First Omen(2024), they're both equally good.
  • Twisters tells the story of Kate(Daisy Edgar-Jones), who is a storm chaser & meteorologist, who has quit storm chasing. An old colleague & friend convinces Kate to return to Oklahoma, to work with a new team of storm chasers, who use brand new technologies.

Twisters is a highly entertaining film. Director Lee Isaac Chung has given us a movie that improves upon the iconic Twister(1996). It's awesome to see Chung direct a bonafide blockbuster, after the Oscar-winning Minari(2020). Though this film definitely has an emphasis on spectacle, there's an equal focus on the characters & you care deeply about the main characters, just like in Chung's 2020 indie darling. The set pieces are phenomenal & look even better in IMAX. The visual effects are fantastic. Daisy Edgar-Jones is the star of the show, as Kate. Edgar-Jones effortlessly portrays a myriad of emotions, with her spectacular performance. Glen Powell is outstanding as Tyler. Anthony Ramos is brilliant as Javi. Brandon Perea, Maura Tierney, Harry Hadden-Paton, Sasha Lane, David Corenswet, Tunde Adebimpe & Katy O'Brian are superb as Boone, Cathy, Ben, Lily, Scott, Dexter & Dani, respectively. The supporting cast is good. Twisters is a must watch for fans of Twister(1996) & fans of Daisy Edgar-Jones & Glen Powell. A classic summer blockbuster that everyone should watch, especially in theatres & on the biggest screen possible!
  • Fly Me to the Moon tells the story of marketing executive Kelly Jones(Scarlett Johansson) & NASA mission launch director Cole Davis(Channing Tatum). Kelly causes chaos & makes it even more difficult for Cole to oversee America's moon landing. When the White House says the mission is too important to fail, the pressure is on!

Fly Me to the Moon is an excellent film. Director Greg Berlanti has given us a movie that is extremely funny, has emotional moments & is a worthy addition to the expansive romcom genre. The fact that the film takes place around one of the most significant events in American history, sets it apart from several romcoms of the past, the most recent one being Anyone But You(2023). Scarlett Johansson is awe-inspiring as Kelly Jones. Channing Tatum is spectacular as Cole Davis. Johansson & Tatum share adorable chemistry, in all their scenes together. Woody Harrelson is phenomenal as Moe Berkus. Ray Romano is brilliant as Henry Smalls. Jim Rash, Anna Garcia, Donald Elise Watkins, Noah Robbins & Christian Clemenson are superb as Lance Vespertine, Ruby Martin, Stu Bryce, Don Harper & Walter, respectively. The supporting cast is great. Fly Me to the Moon is a must watch, especially for romcom fans & fans of Scarlett Johansson & Channing Tatum. Go for it & you'll definitely feel over the moon with joy!
  • Longlegs tells the story of FBI agent Lee Harker(Maika Monroe). When she's pursuing a serial killer named Longlegs(Nicolas Cage), Lee discovers many clues with links to the supernatural. Now, Lee must do everything in her power to stop Longlegs' nightmarish killing spree.

Longlegs is a brilliant film. Writer-director Oz Perkins has given us a movie that's thrilling, suspenseful & will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. One massive flaw is that, during the big reveal, the film relies on cliched horror movie tropes. Apart from that, there are several aspects of the film that are completely unique & not seen in any other movie in the horror/thriller genre. The cinematography by Andres Arochi expertly maintains the eerie atmosphere. Maika Monroe is spectacular as Agent Lee Harker. Monroe carries the film on her shoulders, with her unforgettable performance. Nicolas Cage is great as Longlegs. However, Cage could have toned down his usual over the top acting, which he has brought to several performances in the past. This would have made his titular character, way more terrifying. I know very well that Nicolas Cage is capable of giving a restrained performance, too. Blair Underwood is phenomenal as Agent Carter. Alicia Witt is awe-inspiring as Ruth Harker. The supporting cast is fantastic. Longlegs is a must watch for horror/thriller fans. Just lower your expectations a tiny bit & you'll thoroughly enjoy yourself!
  • Warning: Spoilers
Despicable Me 4 continues with the adventures of Gru(Steve Carell), Lucy(Kristen Wiig) & their daughters, Margo(Miranda Cosgrove), Edith(Dana Gaier) & Agnes(Madison Polan). Gru welcomes a son into the family named Gru Jr, who is keen on troubling his dad. Gru must face off against a new foe named Maxime Le Mal(Will Ferrell) & his girlfriend Valentina(Sofia Vergara), which forces the family to go into hiding.

Despicable Me 4 is a good film. Director Chris Renaud has given us a movie that definitely expands the Despicable Me franchise but, loses some of what made it great in the first place. While this film is better than Minions(2015), Despicable Me 2(2013), Despicable Me 3(2017) & Minions: The Rise of Gru(2022) surpass it, with Despicable Me(2010) still being the superlative movie of the franchise. The biggest drawback of this film is that, Margo, Edith & Agnes barely have any screen time. Since the very beginning, Gru's relationship with his adoptive daughters namely, Margo, Edith & Agnes has always been the best part of this franchise. To watch that take a backseat this time around, is very disheartening. Gru's dynamic with Gru Jr, is a delight to watch. The Minions' antics are funny but, at times they get tiresome. The animation is fantastic. The 3D is duck-worthy. The vocal performances are the highlight of the movie. Steve Carell is spectacular as Gru. Kristen Wiig is outstanding as Lucy. Pierre Coffin is hysterical as the voice of the Minions. Joey King is brilliant as Poppy Prescott. Will Ferrell is amazing as Maxime. Sofia Vergara is excellent as Valentina. Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier & Madison Polan are awesome as Margo, Edith & Agnes, respectively. The supporting cast is perfect. Despicable Me 4 is worth a watch for fans of the Despicable Me franchise, ideally on the big screen. However, just watch it with super low expectations & you'll definitely enjoy it more.
  • A Quiet Place: Day One is set before the events of A Quiet Place(2018) & A Quiet Place Part II(2020). Sam(Lupita Nyong'o) finds herself stranded in New York City, on the first day of an invasion by monsters of alien origin, who happen to have extremely sensitive hearing abilities.

A Quiet Place: Day One is a superb film. Director Michael Sarnoski has seamlessly taken over directorial duties, from franchise mainstay John Krasinski. The only drawback of this movie is, it's not as thrilling & doesn't leave you on the edge of your seat as masterfully as A Quiet Place(2018) & A Quiet Place Part II(2020) does. Still, there are some fantastic set pieces that are heart-pounding. Lupita Nyong'o is phenomenal as Samira. Nyong'o keeps going from strength to strength as an actor & can consider herself a modern day scream queen, after this film & her unforgettable performance in Us(2019). Joseph Quinn is spectacular as Eric. Alex Wolff is awesome as Reuben. Djimon Hounsou is excellent as Henri. Schnitzel & Nico are adorable as the pet cat Frodo. The supporting cast is amazing. A Quiet Place: Day One is a must watch for fans of A Quiet Place(2018) & A Quiet Place Part II(2020), especially on the big screen. Can't wait for the next chapter in the Quiet Place franchise!
  • The Bikeriders tells the story of Benny(Austin Butler) & Kathy(Jodie Comer). When they first meet, strong-willed Kathy is attracted to Benny, who is part of the Midwestern motorcycle club, the Vandals. When the club takes a dark turn into a world of violence, Benny must choose between Kathy or being loyal to the Vandals.

The Bikeriders is an above average film. Director Jeff Nichols has given us a movie that is an accurate depiction of motorcycle culture in America. However, the film is super dragging & is marred by inane dialogues that don't really have any significance on the overall plot of the movie. At several different points in the film, you're left wondering why certain dialogues & scenes were included in the first place. The performances are the best part of the movie. Jodie Comer is spectacular as Kathy. Austin Butler is superb as Benny. Tom Hardy is fantastic as Johnny. The supporting cast is effective. The Bikeriders is not worth a watch. However, watch it if you're a fan of Jodie Comer, Austin Butler & Tom Hardy.
  • The Watchers is based on the novel of the same name, by AM Shine. A young artist named Mina(Dakota Fanning), gets lost in a massive forest in western Ireland. When she finds shelter, she gets stranded with three strangers namely, Ciara(Georgina Campbell), Madeline(Olwen Fouere) & Daniel(Oliver Finnegan). Mina, Ciara, Madeline & Oliver are stalked by scary & dangerous creatures, every night.

The Watchers is a great film. Writer-director Ishana Night Shyamalan has given us a movie that's creepy & maintains the eerie atmosphere throughout. However, every single scene is spoon-fed to the audience with too many unnecessary dialogues explaining every little action onscreen. This really cuts down the tension in each scene & sometimes, can be unintentionally funny. My expectations were quite high because though this is Ishana Night Shyamalan's feature directorial debut, she's written & directed many fantastic episodes of Apple TV's horror/thriller series, Servant(2019-2023). Dakota Fanning is brilliant as Mina. Georgina Campbell is amazing as Ciara. Olwen Fouere is fantastic as Madeline. Oliver Finnegan is subpar as Daniel. The supporting cast is excellent. The Watchers is not a must watch. Nevertheless, it's worth a watch for fans of Dakota Fanning, Ishana Night Shyamalan & her father, legendary writer-director/producer M. Night Shyamalan. Just lower your expectations & don't expect the film to be very scary.
  • Inside Out 2 continues with the adventures of Joy(Amy Poehler), Sadness(Phyllis Smith), Anger(Lewis Black), Fear(Tony Hale) & Disgust(Liza Lapira), the emotions living inside Riley's(Kensington Tallman) head, after the events of Inside Out(2015). Riley goes through puberty & feels new & complicated emotions, while navigating being a teenager. Joy & the rest of the gang contend with maybe being replaced by the new emotions.

Inside Out 2 is a mind-blowing film. Director Kelsey Mann has masterfully taken over directorial duties, from Pixar veteran Pete Docter. The animation is breathtaking. The 3D is eye-popping. The comedic set pieces will make you laugh heartily. There are several emotional scenes, that will either move you to tears or make you shed a tear or two. The vocal performances are the highlight of the movie. Amy Poehler is spectacular as Joy. Maya Hawke is awe-inspiring as Anxiety. Kensington Tallman is perfect as Riley. Liza Lapira is impressive as Disgust. Tony Hale is effective as Fear. Lewis Black is superb as Anger. Phyllis Smith is amazing as Sadness. Ayo Edebiri is fantastic as Envy. Adele Exarchopoulos, Diane Lane, Kyle MacLachlan & Paul Walter Hauser are excellent as Ennui, Mom, Dad & Embarrassment, respectively. The supporting cast is awesome. Inside Out 2 surpassed my sky high expectations & is as epic as Inside Out(2015). The best part about the film, is that it's super relatable for kids, teenagers & adults, too. Watch it on the big screen with your entire family & experience a rollercoaster ride of emotions!
