Babu Bangaram
(2016)

Fails to entertain completely, but okay to watch a few scenes by skipping.
Babu Bangaram is attempted to be a comedy entertainer and a movie to signify the 30 year movie milestone. It fails to entertain partially with Maruti losing his logical grip on few scenes especially the comedy scenes.

Weak scenes: 1. Brahmanadam's hypnosis- even though the scenes might seem funny, it was ridiculous the way hypnosis was shown. It doesn't make any sense.

2. It was explained by Venkatesh as 'truth' as he describes every detail of what happened with Sastry (Nayanatara's father), Raid officer, Posani and Sampath. But it is depicted as he has deduced all that without even taking help of Sastry, which is nearly impossible.

3. The climax fight with such a shallow reference to "Bobbili Raja" with Venkatesh laughing like crazy was dreadful.

The movie started to depict the hero's character as with too much mercy. That trait seemed to have been exaggerated and didn't work as favor.

Even though the story, a few comedy scenes were good, the movie loses realism because of cinematic references like "Telling about having a duet before duet", " joke told to Vennela Kishore about himself" and self boasters like " First time that hero protects a Villain persuaded by a villain" told by Venkatesh himself, very amateur from such a reputed and successful director like Maruthi.

I am disappointed that I decided to watch this movie trusting Maruthi and Venkatesh without seeing its rating and review. Better skip and watch few scenes which should suffice.

Bhale Manchi Roju
(2015)

A good script, well written scenes and dialogues- definitely watchable for entertainment
A typical telugu plot of hero stuck in a multiple problems but deals with fun, but this movie "Bhale manchi Roju" was interestingly scripted and almost all scenes make sense. Except that screenplay could have been better for such well written script, the film deserves to be seen and you will deserve entertainment when you watch this.

The acting department was ordinary but served what the film required. Music was enthusiastic and a couple of songs "Ningi Needera" and "Mila Mila" need appreciation.

I loved the way hero was portrayed as a high BP guy sometimes unable to tackle every situation but did when it mattered the most. Thus, it seemed realistic and entertaining.

Prefer to watch it over any other less than 7 rated movie.

Janatha Garage
(2016)

If you decide to watch the movie, don't expect entertainment.
Janatha Garage is a movie which boldly lacks key entertainment elements that are comedy and good dialogues. However, the movie still pleases somewhat with a realistic emotion. The movie cannot even be tolerated for the second time but if you watch the movie not expecting comedy and good dialogues, you are likely to appreciate the direction of Koratala Siva and acting prowess of Mohanlal and NTR.

The movie bears the story of helping the society which seems to be a common theme in the movies of Koratala Shiva. The story seems very familiar and cliché but few elements in the storyline seem new and realistic only due to the realistic direction and acting.

Negatives:

No attention on details ( for example on showing Bomb blasts, Rajeev Kanakala's reason for denial), ridiculously boring dialogues, lack of sense of humor for any character.

Positives:

Humility NTR has depicted in contrast to his previous movies, complete acting team, direction.

Jadoogadu
(2015)

A village guy goes to town with ambition of a crorepati. The movie lies with how he becomes
"Jadoogadu" is one of the best action movies I have seen in Telugu cinema in the recent times. Even though the story is a cliché, the movie is depicted practically and most of the movie makes sense including the fights, which is very rare in Tollywood. I especially liked the way Police Commissioner is depicted as aiming to earn more money than what a mafia leader does. The scene where Naga Shourya finds out codes from Srisailam gave me real interest- he unlocks the car door but Srisailam seems less attentive, Srisailam throws his phone in the backseat of the car, this scene gave me goosebumps! Even though the ending twist seemed typical of our Telugu movies where hero preplans the plot and therefore seemed unnatural, still the movie was seriously interesting in a realistic way till then and I would watch it again till that part for sure.

I really appreciate the director's effort to insert comedy tracks of Saptagiri and "Tagubotu" Ramesh in such a serious action thriller. Acting crew were so impressive. Naga Shourya should be recognized as a hero without reasonable background and be considered a serious hero. Sonarika looks cute and hot.

Overall, very good action thriller by director Yogi who came back after 8 years of directing "Chintakayala Ravi". A must watch for action and comedy lovers. Don't watch if you are a die-hard fan of any Tollywood hero, because you are likely to be skeptical about Naga Shourya and about the movie.

Inside Out
(2015)

Take a bow to Pete Docter's imagination Island!
"Inside out" is a beautiful contemplation of how the organization called "Brain" works. While undoubtedly this will be a roller-coaster ride for children, I believe this movie could be an eye-opener for all age groups, especially when one is conscious exhibit various types of emotions. It conveys a constructive message that whether it's joy or sadness, expressing yourself will make it joy. A mathematical analogy would be as follows: if joy is positive(+) and sadness is negative (-), the movie infers the following conventions: Expressing a feeling is positive (+) and being an introvert is negative (-). By which, joy*expression= sadness*expression=positive(joy, expression)

Such a great message in a cute animee movie targeted for the kids.

Take a bow Pete Docter!

Kumari 21F
(2015)

An interesting love story one-of-a-kind, which should not be skipped easily.
The movie Kumari 21F is a beautiful love story, which focuses on how suspicion can lead to fallacious assumptions. Movie beautifully depicts how one can have a more open mind by increasing love and accepting their loved ones. The situations created in depicting above messages were resonating.

The movie is a love story of a matured girl played beautifully by Hebba Patel.Raj Tharun plays a typical Telugu guy with ease. Director Surya Pratap had a remarkable debut with the support from the trio (DSP,Sukumar and Rathnavelu). The background score of DSP was pretty good, but the songs weren't as good as the previous DSP-Sukumar combos.

The movie could have had better humour. However, Director Surya carries forward the legacy of Sukumar with a few compelling high emotional intensity scenes which overshadow any dissatisfactions.

In a nutshell, the movie has such an interesting storyline and a few compelling scenes that even the ones who do not like the movie by disagreement with the idea of an open mind, will find it difficult to deny the movie to be different.
