Your typical « I have absolutely no idea about camera-language but I decided I'm a director » film.
Actors who have no clue about the words they pronounce. Inexistent camera point of view. Puiu is at it again, after such disasters as Sierraneva.
Self-loving movie goers will say it's a marvel. Ignore them. Don't waste your time. If you really care about the story, read the book by Solovyov. It's muuuuch better than this filmed theatre rendition.
Only worry: public money was used to co-produce this terrible object. I am very sorry for Romanian tax-payers. Their money should go on movie made by real directors, who have talent, a point of view, and the courage to get out and FILM. Not pretentious artistical crooks.

Good director. Worst script ever. Who dared producing this? Hope they went bankrupt.

I let the night pass... after watching this boring, uninteresting, stupid, badly written, movie.
And when I read here that "The Dark Knight Rises is emotionally riveting", I can't help laughing :- )
American Movie Industry has gotten us used to great humor lines in the middle of action, has gotten us used to fun dialogs, and NEW WAYS to use the camera, invention...
The Dark Knight Rises is - in all aspects - absolutely ZERO. Humor ? One or two lines. Acting ? I guess Michael Cain and Morgan Freeman had some taxes to pay... so they had to accept the job. You feel pity for both these great actors all along the movie. Nolan has them saying such STUPID & EMPTY dialogs ! Poor guys ! Cotillard is vulgar - that's all she's ever been, anyway. Only Anne Hathaway seems to get something out of her role.
The filming is boring. Absolutely NOTHING new, nothing "wow". The camera is "saying nothing". It's just filming facts, almost as a news crew would do. Nolan counts on explosions and city skyline views to make us happy. Doesn't work :-(
