Throughly rewarding, it stands unmatched in its uniqueness I wasn't sure what to expect with this series initially, i mean it's kind of a strange sell - who is it aimed at? Is it for teenagers, weird middle aged women like me? People who just cant get enough dystopian content?(also me) In not really being aimed at a targeted audience it kinda allows for greater creativity.
Everything is so shockingly violent or graphic now (Fallout) in order to delight people, which i think Sweet tooth still does at points too. Its not all cute like you expect from the cover, some of its quite confronting . I mean these hybrids are children, and sometimes what happens to them is definitely not fairytale - there is a real darkness in it that is matched perfectly in its sweet protagonist Gus.
Every series has a rewarding ark and a new mystery to unravel, and unlike say Game of Thrones - it feels like Sweet tooth knew where it wanted to go and mapped it out perfectly. Its been a journey I won't forget in a hurry.
Great acting from all involved and fresh faces. I think it had diversity in its varied characters and stories without most people even realising it.
Like finishing a good book on a train, I mourn the journey is at an end but i feel satisfied with where its taken me.
