Pretentious Boredom
Another sad reminder of the situation in Croatian cinema.
This film should be a satire, but it is devoid of any humor and any balance of story. The film is boring and banal, and any attempt at some kind of humor is so pathetic that it's just sad. Croatian films cannot escape politics, and neither can this one. This attempt at satire was therefore doomed at the very beginning.
The film is pretentious and boring and it is a real torture to watch this film to the end. When a film is so pretentious, it is impossible to take it seriously and it simply causes a complete counter-effect. The stereotypes the film is about are so banal, the film is a complete cliché and a parody of itself. Really sad.
The actors tried as hard as they could, but the film is a total disaster. In the end, it turned out that watching this movie was a complete waste of time.

Another pretentious and boring film that we are used to from Croatian production.
The film would like to be an intelligent satire, but unfortunately it is just the opposite. Humor is, as we are unfortunately accustomed to, completely pathetic, and every attempt at some meaningful story is lost in a pretentious attempt at satire. In the story, as in most Croatian films, there is no balance at all, just boring clichés that should be funny, but are actually pathetic.
The film can't be taken seriously, as a satire and whatever, and in the end it just turns out to be arrogant in its childish desire to tell the viewer things that are so banal that they end up causing a complete counter effect.

Unfortunately the vast majority of films financed by taxpayers through HAVC (Croatian Audiovisual Center) are pretentious and boring.
The director of this film tries to explain to us, ignorant viewers, what stereotypes reign in society in order to end up just confirming those same stereotypes. The film is tedious and boring, and any attempt at humor is so pathetic that it's simply sad.
