Girl
(1998)

Movie Stands On It's Own Just Fine
I didn't read the book & didn't walk in with preconceived notions. Basically a coming of age film about a girl attracted to a fledgling rock star and she falls into the "groupie" mindset & lifestyle for a bit. Nothing epic but everyone plays their part well & it's an entertaining movie.

Chokeslam
(2016)

Embarrassing Even By Pro Wrestling Standards
Amanda Crew seriously needs to change management, she done got stuck in another drizzler. A girl with those looks & to be continuously misused and abused in these horrible movies is an embarrassment

Chelsea Green is a welcome & pleasant surprise. She's the best of the few wrestling has-beens in this flick. She truly has a bright future ahead of her provided she plays the politics well enough.

The movie's basically about a small town girl that makes it big on the wrestling circuit and, for one reason or another, is contemplating packing it in. Amanda has a guy who's hot for her (naturally) and he lusts to be by her side.

This movie seems to have been made by a committee of people with a slew of different ideas & things they wanted to implement in it. It's a slow steady snoozer with a lackluster plot, flimsy & unfunny inside jokes, no drama to speak of (Hint: showing the female wrestlers working through their match for that night's main event nullifies the heat you're looking to get). Absolutely and I mean TOTALLY 0% chemistry between Amanda and the male lead.

Amanda & Chelsea, as beautiful as they are, cannot carry this movie>everyone in the movie can act to one degree or another but the plot, the direction, and the script, and the editing is severely lacking.

You have been warned: this has to be one of the worst wrestling -themed movies I've seen in my life thus far. It's like a long winded, pointless, clumsy wrestling promo that falls apart at the seams...and it keeps going & going. It's enough to make a guy turn heel forever on the people who thought making this movie was a good idea.

Ferocious
(2013)

What Did I Miss?
Successful actress heads back to her old hometown to exact vengeance on an old employer that did her wrong. A jumbled mess of a movie. Could've been(should've been) done so much better. Amanda Crew is good but given little to work with, not her fault. This movie needed a revised plot with twists and an exciting tempo. I wonder how much the editor left on the cutting room floor, was it worse than what I just watched?

She's Out of My League
(2010)

Funny & SURPRISINGLY Sweet
I'd been passing this movie by for years & I'd finally seen it (and enjoyed it). Average Joe Schmoe with looks to match nabs a Perfect Ten Hottie to his friends and family's amazement. Great job by all involved, fun movie. I'd watch it again.

The Crazies
(2010)

Had No Idea This Was A Remake
Not much to it. Town gets infected with crazy toxin, all but a few are turned into savage almost mindless killers. Basic plot and the remake most likely doesn't improve on the original, when has it ever? NEXT.

Sex Drive
(2008)

Great Outta My Dreams & Into My Car
Predictible & over done yet fun road trip movie with some gross out moments littered throughout. Harmless-almost mindless-fun.

Chatterbox!
(1977)

Who Was That Vagina I Saw You With Last Night?
Candice Rialson's vagina starts talking aloud one morning & it's not long before the world's her oyster! Zaniness and buffoonery abound. Special Guest Rip Torn...watch the first few minutes and you'll see the boom mic no less than two times (the two most jarring moments in the film to be perfectly honest). Candice Rialson is HOT.

The Quiet
(2005)

Very Odd
Deaf girl moves into her relatives' home after the death of her father. The relatives have hidden secrets but the deaf girl has secrets of her own that'll come to light...& hopefully no one will miss the dance near the end of the movie! Everything seems to have been carefully constructed yet something's missing...the deaf girl is awkward (by design) and the movie feels odd as well. It kept my attention & it's not a waste of time.

Alley Cat
(1984)

Released in '84, looks closer to '74
A young woman with karate skills takes on a group of killers when trouble comes too close to home. Released in 1984 but the movie looks as if it'd been sitting on the shelf for awhile. Nonetheless, it's a fun film and some scenes actually (and somewhat accidentally) exhibit great atmosphere. You won't believe the karate skills demonstrated in this movie. Karin Man does well for what she's given & looks great doing it.

Dirty O'Neil
(1974)

Above Average 70s Schlock
A cop patrols the streets and maintains the peace until a group of thugs start making trouble for all the babes in town. Lots of pretty women & scenery. Imagine if Jack Tripper from Three's Company developed a hardened attitude, he's the cop in this flick. Harmless fun & zany antics.

Room at the Top
(1958)

Be Careful What You Ask For
Long movie that starts out with a guy lusting after a girl his own age but plans change after his attraction to an older married woman flourishes. Somewhat slow moving but picks up surprisingly quick as the movies edges towards its conclusion. Shot in glorious black & white.

Manhattan
(1979)

Flimsy & Meandering
Unemployed, awkward, neurotic narcissist Woody Allen is in a relationship with a seventeen year old but gets the itch to go after his buddy's mistress, played by the pseudo intellectual and always overrated & annoying Diane Keaton. Filmed in black and white to give the illusion of art & importance, this movie would've been better suited as a short subject...it drags & drags. Very little thought or humor involved. Far from his best work. Disappointing.

Dirty Dealing 3D
(2018)

Sub Par Made For Cable Movie
Beautiful babes help out a friend by embezzling funds from their high rolling workplace. It's a worn out plot with a flimsy script and the girls would suffocate in the paper bag they can't act their way out of. Michael Madesn's blue/black dye job is not to be missed. Good to watch if you can't find anything better.

Stripped to Kill
(1987)

Above Average Mystery Thriller With Twist & Shake
Good looking 80s flick that seems to run just a little long but it's an enjoyable watch about some cops trying to catch a consistent, persistent killer at large. The movie soundtrack stands out (as does Kate Lenz)

Tamara
(2005)

Slightly Better Than Average Demon Possession/ Revenge Flick
Jenna Dewan stands out in this revenge-against-my-classmates movie>you've seen this kind of movie before but Jenna Dewan deserves repeat viewing.

I Spit on Your Grave 2
(2013)

Better Than Average Revenge Flick
A model seeks revenge on the torture & abuses brought upon her by her vile attackers. Very graphic & unsettling yet strangely rewarding.

Savage Streets
(1984)

Fun 80's Cult Classic & Killer Soundtrack
High school hellcat gets revenge on gang-bangers & thugs in this 80's cult classic. The music soundtrack is outstanding & is truly the movie's highlight.

Expect Delays
(2015)

Meaningless, Meandering Malarkey
Lots of drivel and a plot that goes nowhere fast & "just in time for the Holidays"> not at cringe worthy as "The Family Stone" & that's the best thing I can say.

The Family Stone
(2005)

Compacted & Contrived Garbage
Sarah Jessica Parker's character is the only one in this film that has any sense and thought in this movie. Claire Danes looks great too. Diane Keaton's character is at the head of this nutty family...despite that, I watched this movie waiting for something to happen & I had to stop watching when Sarah Jessica's character was being vilified at the dinner table. Horribly written movie about horrible people living in a snow globe filled with garbage. Avoid at all cost.

Clerks II
(2006)

Outstanding
A sequel that matches up to the original! What a concept. The character growth and the new adult situations are welcomed & the new characters are enjoyed & liked. Some moments will even make you cry. AND THEY'RE IN COLOR !

Choujikuu Yousai Macross
(1982)

Iconic & Inspiring
Must viewing for any fan of Japanese animation (anime) for any era & for anyone who hasn't seen it. Revolutionary!

Igby Goes Down
(2002)

Compelling & Enjoyable
A likeable "hero" with a strong cast of characters in one of those "coming of age" movies. Fine acting & direction...surprisingly good!

Suburbia
(1983)

Whaddayu you lookin' at, punk?
Everyone needs to see this movie at least once, there aren't very many like it!

Chasing Amy
(1997)

"You're A Tracer!"
Fun & poignant comedy/drama that can be readily enjoyed without a prerequisite heavy understanding of the previous Kevin Smith films (Clerks & Mallrats). Captures that "mid 90s flick" young adulthood vibe very well. Everyone involved did a great job on this one. Good soundtrack too!

A.C.O.D.
(2013)

J. K. T. (Just Kinda There)
I'm not a child of divorce, I don't find the movie or the story relatable. I've had plenty of friends, their parents had gone through divorce & I'd never seen them act like anyone in this film. The comedy is low ley & almost non-existent. Jessica Alba looks great, she has a minor role. I just felt like I watched a serious movie done by an SNL cast, take that for what it's worth.
