Trivia
This episode both opens and closes with Demelza hanging out washing, talking to Ross. At the beginning she is supporting him, concerned for his safety. At the end she fells him with one blow.

Ross is a fallable character

Au contraire, ohlabtechguy! I only started watching Poldark recently and have been going through the synopses from the first episode. He was engaged to Elizabeth before going off to fight in the American war and has a bad adrenaline habit, constantly going off to solve matters in foreign areas, leaving Desmelda to fend for herself (quite well) I have a lot of parts to piece together so will stream the first two seasons. Desmelda entered the story as a waif that Poldark hired on as a housekeeper, meaning that he slept with the hired help. Basically, he can't keep his pants zipped.

In the first season of Downton Abbey, the Lord was having a dalliance with a housemaid.
