The Dean Martin Celebrity Roast: Redd Foxx (1976)
Another funny episode in the long-running Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts series. This one has comedy legend Redd Foxx facing friends as they throw one joke after another. The majority of the jokes center around Foxx's notorious bad mouth and some of his misadventures with women. While some of the roasters like Isaac Hayes and Joe Garagiola don't deliver greats laughs, there are still some very funny stuff from the likes of Don Rickles and Milton Berle. Marty Allen also appears playing a weird boxer and we also get bits from Nipsey Russell, LaWanda Page, George Kirby, Jimmie Walker, Steve Allen and Abe Vigoda. Some of the best moments come when Rickles gets up and pretty much knocks everyone over with his smart jokes that certainly aim right for the heart. Even Martin gets some very funny moments and especially a great joke he throws at Berle. Fans of the series will find several misses here but there are enough laughs to make it worth watching.
