I had never heard about this 2023 drama titled "All I Want Is You" prior to sitting down to watch it. However, I had an idea about what I would be in for here, as the movie just permeated a special vibe. Yet, I still opted to sit down and give the movie the benefit of the doubt.
Turns out that my notion and hunch was right, because writer and director Silk White delivered exactly that type of movie. And I can't claim that I am much a fan of this particular type of movies, so it was a bit of a challenge to sit through the narrative, especially when it was somewhat cringeworthy.
The character gallery and the dialogue throughout the movie was pretty caricatured and sort of stereotypical. So you're not in for any grand cinematic experience here.
Needless to say that I wasn't familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie. However, some of the acting performances were actually fair enough, while others were wooden and rigid. I can't say that there was any single performance that stood out in the movie.
Sure, there is an audience out there for a movie such as "All I Want Is You". I just happen not to be a part of that particular target audience.
My rating of writer and director Silk White's 2023 "All I Want Is You" movie lands on a two out of ten stars.
