A Love Letter to Latvian Cinemas

I saw this short documentary at the2022 Riga International Film Festival and really enjoyed it, but I'm a fan of movie theaters. As much as this is an overview of theaters across Latvia both past and present, it's also a meditation on cinema as a part of life both the audience, but also the workers. The narrator shares his personal history of movie going and how it's informed his life. My one suggestion would have been to show archival photos and film of theaters that have closed and give a more comprehensive history of Latvian movie theaters, but that is a small quibble. Recommended for anyone who loves movie theaters!
