Despite the obstacle course being made of foam rubber, most contestants sustained multiple injuries whilst competing, including concussions and broken bones.
Production was located entirely in Sydney, NSW. Some contestants were Australian and others were flown from the US to participate.
On some crossings, contestants were unaware of how some obstacles would move or work until encountering them on the course, needing to work it out while completing the course. This gave the first player on crossings a disadvantage.
