This series could've been a film and it wouldn't have made a difference. The need of a series is to experiment with deeper themes and context, but I believe the writers room couldn't think of anything more deep. There are some interesting moments, but they missed a big opportunity here, maybe add some Shakespearean influences- the series first episode made me think of hamlet, however, as it continues its just about a wannabe boy that is having an identity crisis.
It's a show that could've done more. The characters could've had more impact, and I would've wished for the main character to be more interesting...he's just sooo bland. Even a murder plot for him would've been more interesting for him.
In terms of the way it's shot, nothing new or interesting just usual Netflix approach. Colours, music and mis en scene were okay.
The acting was okay, nothing extraordinary. I liked pompa I think he's an interesting character and the guy who played Lazaro was fine. My favourite was Camila overall.
