When Josh Gad joined the voice cast of Disney's animated movie "Frozen," which came out in 2013, he probably didn't think that he was about to become part of one of the biggest pop culture juggernauts in recent history. Both the original and its 2019 sequel, "Frozen II," made buckets of money at the box office, while the first movie also scored an Academy Award for best original song (thanks to the inescapable earworm "Let It Go"). Plus, Gad's character Olaf, a living snowman who wants to experience summer, became a breakout success on his own. So does Gad have any regrets about his "Frozen" experience? Yes, actually. He wishes he'd changed his voice a little more for the character.
"If I could do it all over again, I would not have lent that snowman my voice. I would've created a different voice," Gad said while participating in an interview at Fan Expo Canada,...

Prime’s global top was blown up by the new charming romantic comedy, entering the game. The Idea of You, a love story about the single mother and the band’s frontman, signified Anne Hathaway’s loud return to the movie genre, where she impeccably fits in.
Here are 5 rom coms starring the actress, to revise one of her most memorable roles.
Ella Enchanted (2004)
This list would be impossible without mentioning this family-friendly fantasy, which appears to be a satire of the whole fairy tale genre. It follows a seemingly classic Cinderella story about a girl cursed to obey anything she is told to do, who leaves her home to find both love and a way out of the curse.
However, it offers a bunch of fun twists and Hathaway’s brilliant performance in the role of the fierce, though gentle Ella.

Hathaway’s Amazon Prime romance The Idea of You sees her working alongside Nicholas Galitzine for the first time. Hathaway plays a mother in her 40s who has a chance encounter with a global pop superstar, which leads to an unexpected turn of events. One of the most talked-about topics in the highly anticipated adaptation was the age difference between Hathaway and Galitzine.
The age difference presented in the film isn’t entirely uncommon.

Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine are Solène and Haze, two star-crossed lovers who after a meet-cute at the Coachella music festival – she is there to chaperone her teenage daughter and her friends, while he is headlining the main stage – can’t seem to get enough of each other. Anne Hathaway says the chemistry tests for early 2000s rom-coms were “gross.”
Thankfully, that has changed, the star of “The Princess Diaries,” “The Devil Wears Prada,” and “Love and Other Drugs” told V magazine.
“Back in the 2000s — and this did happen to me — it was considered normal to ask an actor to make out with other actors to test for chemistry, which is actually the worst way to do it,” Hathaway said. “I was told, ‘We have ten guys coming today and you’re cast. Aren’t you excited to make out with all of them?’ And I thought, ‘Is there something wrong with me?’ because I wasn’t excited. I thought it sounded gross.”
The Oscar winner worried about being called “difficult” for not adhering to the industry standards at the time.

Anne Hathaway is one of the most respected and talented actresses in Hollywood. She has made a name for herself through her work in some extremely critically acclaimed projects, that have helped her get the A-list status she is known for today. While all of her films have some uniqueness, her recent movie with Nicholas Galitzine, The Idea of You, is getting attention for all the wrong reasons.
The Idea of You | Credit: Prime Video
The film has quite a unique premise for the romantic-comedy genre in film, however, book readers have become quite familiar with it. Unfortunately, some fans find it difficult to understand why exactly Hathaway decided to be a part of this film. Many even think the decision is solely a financial one.

Filmmaker Edward Zwick, whose credits include About Last Night, Glory, Legends of the Fall, The Siege, The Last Samurai, Blood Diamond, Defiance, Love & Other Drugs, Pawn Sacrifice, and Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (not to mention co-creating Thirtysomething), recently published a memoir called Hits, Flops, and Other Illusions: My Fortysomething Years in Hollywood (pick up a copy Here). This book contains some very interesting passages – like the one on Zwick’s Jack Reacher regrets, and another where he reveals how impressed Denzel Washington was by Matt Damon’s performance when they were on the set of Zwick’s 1996 film Courage Under Fire.
Zwick wrote, “As we finished Matt’s coverage, Denzel caught my eye and nodded approvingly. Later, he took me aside. ‘Who is that kid?’ he asked. I told him it was Matt’s first big role. ‘Damn,’ he said. ‘Better get my game on. He almost blew me off the screen.

Beef 2 Reported Cast Update & More(Photo Credit –IMDb)
The Netflix series Beef, starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, impressed critics and viewers with its dark comedy, fantastic storyline, and outstanding performances. The first season came out in April last year, and it has grabbed some of the major awards at the Emmys this year. Luckily for the fans, the fun won’t end with season 1. Apparently, there will be Beef 2, and big names like Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal are being eyed for the main cast.
What is Beef about?
It is about a failing contractor and an unfulfilled entrepreneur, sparking a feud after a road rage incident between them. However, there is also an underlying depression. They require psychological solace but refuse to get conventional help. The series has an 8/10 rating on IMDb. Many critics call it one of the best series of the year.

Netflix hasn’t officially pulled the trigger on Beef season 2, but when it does, it could come with a star-studded cast. According to Deadline, the new season will revolve around two feuding couples. Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway are being eyed to play one of the couples, and Charles Melton (May December) and Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla) are being eyed for the other.
As it’s still early on in the process, Deadline admits that there are no deals in place yet but added that the scripts for Beef season 2 were recently turned in. Should everything move ahead, production on the new season could get underway by later summer or fall. Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway have appeared together several times before, most notably in Brokeback Mountain and Love & Other Drugs, so it would be fun to see them share the screen again.

Actor Anne Hathaway broke into the Hollywood scene as a teenager. Her talents were spotted right away, and Hathaway soon became one of the biggest film stars of the early 2000s. While her initial roles were quite tame, Hathaway soon found herself in more risque scenarios as her career progressed.
On more than one occasion, Hathaway found herself in just her birthday suit on set. While the birthday suit look was called for in most of these situations, on one occasion, Hathaway stripped down in front of the entire film crew by accident. Here’s a look at one of Hathaway’s most embarrassing moments on set.

Steven Mnuchin has procured a small but notable stake in Lionsgate. According to a securities filing released on Tuesday, a fund controlled by Mnuchin — a former Hollywood player who served as secretary of the treasury during Donald Trump’s presidential term — acquired $30.8 million worth of shares over the past few weeks. That includes 5.5% in Class A stock which translates to around 1.7% of the overall company.
The filing mentions a “potential investment by the Reporting Persons in a spin-off of the Issuer’s studio business.”
Item 4 states “The Issuer has publicly proposed a spin-off of its studio business as a separate public company, LG Orion Holdings Inc. (“SpinCo”). The Reporting Persons may engage in any of the activities described above with respect to SpinCo, prior to or following completion of the spin-off.”

We might be entering the dog days of summer but Hulu isn’t slowing down. The streamer’s list of new releases for August 2023 is a pretty impressive collection of content.
The biggest Hulu original this month is season 3 of true crime comedy Only Murders in the Building on Aug. 8. This time around Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd are joining the already-stacked cast that features Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. This season’s central murder appears to take place at a theater (outside the building) but I think we’ll let it slide.
That’s far from the only worthwhile original in August as Aug. 2 sees the premiere of the third and final season of superb comedy Reservation Dogs. That will be followed by South Korean sci-fi series Moving on Aug. 9, Solar Opposites season 4 on Aug. 14, and A Murder at the End of the World on Aug. 29. Of course,...

Tkay Maidza has finally announced the long-awaited follow-up to her 2016 self-titled debut. Sweet Justice, her second LP, arrives November 3rd via 4Ad, while lead single “Ring-a-Ling” is out now.
Lesser minds might call Sweet Justice a breakup album, but the project’s title comes more from Maidza’s newfound relationships with friends like Stint, Kaytranada, and Flume — who produced the record — rather than any ill will she could wish toward an ex. “Sweet Justice was a way for me to channel my emotions from what I’ve experienced in the last two years,” the rapper said in a statement. “It’s a diary of things and thoughts I’ve kept to myself. Making the record was a healing experience and I’m grateful to have worked with producers who have inspired me throughout my career.”

This post contains spoilers for "Ted Lasso" season 3 as well as "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
Zava: The man, the myth, the legend. The latest teammate to join AFC Richmond, the plucky team at the heart of "Ted Lasso," is none other than a fictional football great with an enigmatic presence and a flair for the dramatic. Zava (Maximilian Osinski) declared his intentions to join the team at the end of the season's second episode, right as he was about to very publicly sign on to the Chelsea roster. We don't know much about Zava yet, except that he eats too much asparagus, parades around in a man-bun and fur coat, and is able to easily hold the attention of soccer fans and players worldwide.
After the Richmond players and coaches hyped him so much ahead of his appearance, I expected Zava's role to end up being a bit of stunt casting,...

Jake Gyllenhaal has starred in many movies, but few might have moved him the way this 2010 feature did. So much so that Gyllenhaal remembered breaking down in tears as soon as he read its script.

Love & Other Drugs was a 2010 romantic drama and comedy co-starring Gyllenhaal and Hathaway. Gyllenhaal played a pharmaceutical salesman who falls in love with a young woman living with Parkinson’s.
For Gyllenhaal, the script couldn’t have arrived at a more perfect time. The End of Watch actor was already going through a reflective period where he was meditating on the concept of love. The script touched on themes he was already fascinated by.
“I just think there comes a time in different people’s lives where they say do I have real love? Do I want real love?...
