In 2005 and in 2007, director Tim Story made a pair of feature films starring the Fantastic Four, one of Marvel Comics' most superlative titles. "Fantastic Four," created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, was more or less a family sitcom except the three family members and their best friend all happened to have superpowers. It was light and comedic, while also featuring bloviating, demonstrative supervillains who shouted regularly about the glories of world domination. It was a comic book series that declared itself to be The World's Greatest Comics Magazine!
Story's feature film adaptations were not very well received when they were released. 2005's "Fantastic Four" only bears a 28% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while its sequel, "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer," only has a 38% approval rating. Moreso, Marvel Comics fans were harsh to Story's movies, hating their cartoony tone and corny scripts. It's worth acknowledging, however, that Story's...

Good luck Scott. Scott Disick took to Instagram on April 20 to show off his time in Miami—while also seemingly addressing Sofia Richie's engagement to Elliot Grainge. Scott shared a photo of himself on a boat with the caption, "In the 305 just call me good luck chuck." The cheeky message seems to make reference at the movie Good Luck Chuck, a film in which all the women who get romantically involved with the character Charlie Kagan (played by Dane Cook) end up marrying the first person they date after Charlie. It at least seems like the lord had luck with winning over Instagram users, as fans fled to his comment section. One user wrote, "There's the Scott Disick we all know...

Nick Cannon has been rocking turbans for almost a full year now. And as the America’s Got Talent host told People Style during our Facebook Live interview, the choice is more than just a fashion statement. He says, “I want to represent my inner king, and to do it in a fly way,” adding, “It’s a great conversation piece but it also allows me to express that spiritual side…I have a good time with it, but it actually does mean a lot to me.” But apparently, there’s one comedian who isn’t taking too kindly to Cannon’s manner of dress.

Move over Ron Weasley — there’s a new funny guy in the Potter-verse!
The first Harry Potter prequel, in a series of five, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits theaters Friday and follows the life of magizoologist Newt Scamander — played by Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne — as he travels to New York with a peculiar case filled with magical creatures.
But the real fun comes from Dan Fogler’s character, Jacob Kowalski, a no-maj (the American word for Muggle or non-magic person) World War I vet who gets caught up in Scamander’s dangerous and magic filled adventures.

With solid success in film and business Jessica Alba has turned her focus to fashion, and her new denim collaboration with DL1961 is nothing short of incredible.
The “Good Luck Chuck” actress told Vogue she’s obsessed with jeans- “I probably have two full racks of denim and each hanger is doubled up. It’s excessive. It’s next-level. I wear so much of it. And there’s nothing like finding the perfect pair of jeans.”
Alba also appreciates the business practices of her partner company- “DL1961 is a thoughtful company in the way they go about creating denim, and that angle was important to me as well. The fabric stretches to your body and shape but doesn’t get baggier throughout the day.”...

Despite the gradual drop in temperature heading in to fall, Jessica Alba still looks sexy and sun-soaked on the front page of Self magazine’s October 2015 issue.
The gorgeous “Good Luck Chuck” actress works her magic in the beach-themed photo spread, including plenty of skin-revealing ensembles.
Of her billion-dollar Honest Company, Jessica explained, “I’ve always been business-minded. I approached Hollywood like a business … I’ve been building my own personal brand over time. For a long time, I didn’t think I was smart. I felt like an imposter. It’s not until you feel whole in yourself that you fit in anywhere. And it took me becoming a mom to actually feel that way.”...

Stepping out to promote her new Honest Beauty lineup, Jessica Alba showed up at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City on Monday night (September 14).
The “Good Luck Chuck” babe looked absolutely fabulous as she walked out onstage during “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” though things quickly took a turn toward awkward.
Fallon accidentally overdid it on the diction and wound up spitting on Jessica, after which he apologized profusely- “Did I just spit on you? I’m so sorry,” he began. Alba replied, “Yeah you spit on me a little bit.” Jimmy gasped, “I wish I had one of your wipes now. I apologize. It’s so gross!”...

With films like "The Love Guru," "Valentine’s Day," "Good Luck Chuck" and "Fantastic Four" on her resume, Jessica Alba is aware not all of her films are critical darlings. "I mean, there's so many bad ones," she admits in a new interview with Allure. "But they're fun. You learn from every experience you have, right?" Though she seems comfortable with her IMDb credits, Alba may still have a regret or two. "I wish I found my voice as a person earlier," she continues, "because I felt like I had to just shut up and do what they wanted me to, even though it was against how I really felt." "I never wanted to play into a stereotype, where its like, Oh, you’re just the girl who gets saved by the guy, and she doesn’t know how to make decisions, and she gets overwhelmed with all this stuff happening around her,...

There once was a time when people laughed at romantic comedies. And I don't mean that they snickered at the term as an epithet for a genre that's become lazy and formulaic, as many do now. They actually used to laugh because romantic comedies were funny—hence the term, romantic-comedy. But somewhere after the box-office reigns of Julia Roberts and Meg Ryan, during the Kate Hudson dynasty, and definitely before Good Luck Chuck, rom-coms became a creative wasteland. "Oh, it’s been horrible," Chris Rock tells EW. "It’s been brutal for 20 years. They always forget the comedy part, and...

The road to success hasn't always been easy for Dane Cook. The 42-year-old stand-up comic, who is one of only a few comedians to sell out Madison Square Garden, opens up about his childhood in a brand new episode of Untold With Maria Menounos. "My dad drank and sometimes when things would get a little tumultuous, I would start doing skits," the Good Luck Chuck actor recalls. "I would try to do anything I could to distract and keep them from getting too over the top." Cook remembers gathering with his family and laughing while watching shows like Saturday Night Live. It was those experiences that led him to want to be a comedian at the age of 15. "It's kind of cheesy, but I felt...

The Good Luck Chuck star stopped by the Clubhouse on Thursday to promote his special Troublemaker, which airs tonight at 10 p.m. on Showtime, where he also played a special game of Plead the Fifth. Host Andy Cohen informed the actor that "we're gonna put a spin" on the popular game, noting that if Cook refused to answer the question, fellow guest, CNN's Candy Crowley, would squirt cheese wiz in his mouth. And clearly, Cook was avoiding that cheesy can at all costs. "Who is the...

I spoke with comedian Dane Cook, who is gearing up to unleash his brand new stand up comedy special ‘Troublemaker’ on Showtime this Friday October 17th. We spoke about some of his new bits that will be appearing in the special, reflected on the passing of the iconic Robin Williams and how he deals with the hate that still follows him around. Dane Cook is one of the most polarizing figures in comedy and whether you like him or not, he’s back with a vengeance. ‘Troublemaker’ is the comedian’s first major stand up special in years and it’s funny as hell. I might be biased because I'm one of the few who actually thought ‘Good Luck Chuck’ and ‘My Best Friend’s Girl’ were hilarious R-Rated cinematic romps. I've been a fan ever since seeing him well over a decade ago on Just for Laughs and have.

Dane Cook is one of the most financially successful comics of all time -- he's also one of the most controversial.
Cook exploded onto the national scene with two certified platinum comedy albums and historic sold-out shows, though many people questioned the origin of several of his jokes. But whether you believe he's "stolen" material from other comics (like Louis C.K.) or not, there's little denying his talent and presence as a performer. With starring roles in "Good Luck Chuck"(2007) and "Dan In Real Life" (2007), Cook is no stranger to the silver screen. This summer, the comic/actor returns as the voice of Dusty Crophopper in "Planes: Fire & Rescue."
From his superhero audition to his embezzling brother, here are 21 things you probably don't know about Dane Cook.
1. Dane Cook was born March 18, 1972 in Cambridge, Massachusetts to Donna Jean Ford and George F. Cook.
